Description

So this is the redesign I’m most proud of. Not the actual visual redesign, which is a bit basic, but the concept has some really fun potential. The idea for the Cosmic Thespian came to me when I was brainstorming what type of character could have the various personality traits to wield multiple rings (like more than two) and figured it would have to be someone with dissociative identity disorder. But considering we already have a couple characters like that already I landed on this much more fun concept of a space faring method actor. T:   Holy Quaznar, folks! I’m here with the Volthoom. Toast of the HoloTheatre Circuit, eight-time winner of the Mixxelblif awards, the first actor ever to win both Lead and Supporting Actor for the same role, and Space Critic’s Choice for most Influential Artist of our Time. He’s here sporting a transcendent new look and to tell us about his latest project. Seriously V, the people want to know! What the zolp have you been up to!

V: Hello again, Tix. Lovely to see you, as always. Yes, yes, I know I have been negligent to my fans these last few cycles. I want to assure you all, I have not been idle.

T:   Quit teasing V! What is this mysterious new project of yours? Spill it!

V: Haha, alright alright. The truth is Tix, that after the unprecedented critical and commercial success of Quentar’s Folly, I found myself despondent and listless. What is a Master Thespian to do if he’s conquered every mountain, won every laurel? I spent many moons meditating with my guru, seeking a way in which to take my art to the next plane of reality. It was during my contemplation of a dewdrop resting on a blade of grass that I realized that there was only one challenge left for an actor of my caliber.

I, Volthoom, will be the first being in the universe to wear all seven Power Rings.

T: O.M.Q. That is amazing! Seven roles in one? How on friznak does somebody prepare for something like that?

V: Well as you know Tix, my unique form of Space Method Acting requires me to fully become my personas. When I enter my personas I am not merely acting, I am that character. Body, mind, and soul. I need to know everything about my persona’s world. How they eat, how the sleep, how they… love.

T: Oh my –

V:   My Method requires a subject to study. That is why my personas are so real. They are not just figments, but true reflections of reality.

T:    And based on that glowing bling of yours, it looks like you’re almost halfway towards your goals. I see yellow, orange, and is that violet?

V: Yes, my quest has taken me across several galaxies. I have walked across the majestic plains of Zamaron, trudged through the stinking pits of Okaara, and now I am off to a quaint little backwater known as Ooorth.

T:     And what do you hope to find on this Ooorth? A new studio to work with?

V:     Oh ho ho no. Their Dramatics Arts are still in their very early incubatory stages. No, my interest in Ooorth peaked when I heard a Green Lantern was chosen from one of their mud people. I thought to myself, 'how does a creature with such primitive faculties posses the strength of character to wield a Green Ring of Power?' Surely, I if I can understand why the Primordial Entities of Emotion could choose such a pathetic specimen for their champion than my own persona could perfectly embody the emotional frequency of will.

T:     Well that’s just incredible V. Be sure to look out for Volthoom and his ongoing project to become the most powerful being in the multiverse. You don’t want to miss a second folks!
