I'd like to point out to people reading this, i made this tutorial a couple of years a go, it's really old by now and is to be followed with a grain of salt. My methods have changed since this tutorial and it's good only if you're starting out and wanting to learn the very basics because there are some methods here I realize now that can develop into bad habits. So once you've gotten a hang of things, please explore new methods of drawing/painting! Don't limit yourself!

What tool did you use for sketching? ;3;

I used the pen tool but sometimes I alternate to the brush tool, it's really up to preference, but you can also do your sketching on paper and then scan it in and lineart your drawing in Paint Tool SAI

Though if I may ask, did you draw the lineart by hand?
I usually do because it's easier, but I didn't know if I'd get better results doing lineart/rough sketches on Sai instead n.n;

And the lineart was all done with a tablet on paint tool sai with the brush tool. You can however do lineart in inks on paper and scan and colour it in PTS though!

Yes, I do! But you can scan in any sketch you did on paper and lineart on top of that sketch.
