I know, it seemed odd in the Silmarillion that Tolkien went into such detail about characters that we had never heard of and had little relevance in the main LOTR story, but someone as significant as Arwen's mother was pretty much passed over. I always wondered how Celebrian and Elrond met, that would have been an interesting story in itself.
Oh well, y'never know she may get a cameo in the Hobbit film . . . we live in hope

This one seems more atmospheric . . . it's the original sketch scanned in with textured background and some image tweaks? Lovely delicate border details; this seems much more Traditional than digital
