Description + Was looking through old folders. Found this. Liked it because it is what it is. (None of that 2004 model crap.) Compositionally, though, it's rather weak and I wouldn't bother posting this as a deviation. Enjoy, though! I did.

+ Editing: Looks like I soft blurred everything but the car.

You are incredibly good with these kind of shots.. The angle the car is taken is great!!! The picture has amazing depth and the blur of the background allows me to focus on the beauty that is on the foreground!

Excellent~

Beautiful capture, even if you do feel that it's not worth putting up as a deviation...

the "soft blurring" works, it brings focus to the car, and to the sharp angles of the viper. Then again I'm biased, I think cars are sexy. You should go take much pictures of Corvettes

Glad you're biased.

Probably every elderly man who retired there Me personally, I'd just walk through a huge car parking lot taking pictures...if it wouldn't get me tackled by security in this day and age.

i like it actually, not as nice as your green foggy 3am series or whatever, but nicer than the rainy celica one.

its the depth of field that makes this, the car is pretty sharp throughout, yet the background is great. the ground beneath the car is blurred though, which is weird

the highlight on the front wheel "thing" serves as a good focal point, and the cars lines are nice and dynamic, they work well against the pattern of pillars in the background.

i think your right about this being compositionally weak, theres the random car in the background, the burnt out top right, and a car like this has a sense of movement, if the car was on the left side of the frame, i think it woud be much more effective, it would give it space to move.

Glad you noticed what I pondered about the other night. After uploading, I realize I could have at least simulated a bit of DOF instead of blurring everything but the car. So, as you pointed, out, I should have kept the ground next to the car in focus. I'd love this shot if I got all of it in view and a wider feel of an empty parking garage. THAT could've been sweet. Ah well. I'm pretty sure the car was too close to the wall and the place wasn't empty enough anyways.

As always, thanks for the thoughts, bro.

vipers are nice cars

no, thats a good shot. the soft blurring picks out the features on the car really well

great shot. I like how the background's blurred b/c that really puts the focus on the thing of importance - the car. I showed it to the bro and he loves it.
