++ Exit to Humanity++ (Behind the Gates of Heaven)
According to some, we approach a blinding light in our dying moments. It consumes, covers, and embraces us. It is what brings us to our next level.
Where exactly does this light lead to, though? If it's the entrance to Heaven, then this photo is looking back through the gates. Go through it and return to Humanity.

With the shot and the description come the classic "Is the cup half empty or half full?" question. However, it's gven to us now in a much more complex manner. I thought at first it the gate you pass to leave heaven because of that faint exit sign on the left. Then i realize, well that doesn't mean much, it could show the exit of life.
I have to say, the angle of this shot is really nice. Instead of a straightforward one that would have been done by most, you tilted it a bit wich is great.
Now, what i think really adds that small touch of perfection is that arrow. Which ever way you see it, going to or leaving heaven, it adds much more room for though.

Wow... i love the lightning! That light - for me in the meaning of "the end of life" - is something i like to use in my manipulations or photos too, like e.g. in "Reborn" or the last part of my "Moments Of Silence" series. Anyway, beside of that all i do like the whole setting for this photo. Great!

there are too many words and thoughts to say about this piece... it's not my total favorite, but nonetheless, it's an amazing picture... captured beautifully... being that I know that the "blinding light" is natural to everyone, it's not as special as you say, but your words express this work better than anything I could think of... good job nate... love it!

I like it, but I had to read your description twice... If we were already in the light (Heaven) then wouldn't we be facing the other direction (into the parking garage/dark), instead of at the light? I'm sorry to be so trivial, because it really is a good shot.

Its actually looking out on reality from your mental state, the place where you feel comfortable (realm of the mind) is beeing shattered by the seering light that invades your realm...
