Perched and ready. Waiting. Watching. Wondering....or simply enjoying the view after a near vertical climb at the Forth Worth water garden. Thanks to +meredith for unknowingly posing.

Although, about the hue? This is straight from the film. I guess the wealth of concrete/rock makes it look very toned.

I like it alot. The composition is marvelous with the winding stairs and the placing of the woman with her pose gives the picture a sense of drama. I think it's hard to do a photo with such depth as this. Heights are difficult to get ringht but here I sense the drop.

great use of line and patterning here. the depth is pretty inherent, but not the controlling element of the pic. great capture, you balanced the frame really well for such a candid, spur of the moment kinda thing.

I actually saw this in DAPrints.... and thought as i looked at it.... i've been there.... were is that...
and so i had to come find this submission!.... i'm a recently displaced Texan.... and the Ft.Worth Water Gardens were a favorite spot of mine to visit.... I love this picture... its a severe and serene place all at once....and i feel you captured that so well....

I'm having a very hard time finding something to say that hasn't already been said here. Anyway, the photo is great (duh?), and the way all the lines leads your eye to focus at her sitting there is quite an achievement. It's just great, damnit!

Excellent use of color in this one, and your composition isnt too shabby either
I love that everything is so dull and boring as well as repetitious (the lines and shadows of the steps, save the girl. Myes go directly to the figure, but a question for you... what emotion are you going for in this piece? To me the emotion is lonelyness or sorry... and seeing as how we can see that she is quite high i wonder if the person is contemplating jumping off.. this all has to do with the way she is posed (though i know it wasnt an intential pose) and that there is no other life in the image (as in organism.. lots of cold stone) Honestly the only thing that makes me feel otherwise is that the tones are on the warm/saturated side... i wonder what this image would look like in either black and white or with a slightly blue tone.. or perhaps even green.

I love the smooth geometry of all those lines ... this could be really cool if you grayscaled it and upped the contrast a few notches ... although I'm not sure, it might make your model blend into the shot.

Like the lining alot. The posing arouses curiosity; where is she looking at? Furthermore, it adds depth, now you can see she's actually sitting on a vertical wall. Well done. Envy enters here

All the flowing lines look very strong, they add a lot of movement into this. I think the pool (or something) in the background is very important, you really have an eye for these. It seems that she's sitting in the bottom right corner of the shot, but when you look carefully she's actually in the top right corner, the lines create an interesting illusion. I must say this is one of the best abstract photos I've seen, it reminds me of some surreal paintings
