This is not really a tutorial as much as it's to teach people to not be too naive when it comes to art. There are people who do this! This is of course only one way of doing it, I'm sure there are plenty.
If you do fake your art I have absolutely no respect for you.
Fake art - why care and what to look forI posted this last week for anyone looking for help to spot fake art. This is not law, if you don't care, feel free to move on. But if you do care that there are fakers out there, then maybe this could be of some use to you too. We have a serial faker on the loose on dA today so it sparked this little lot once more.
So, the questions/scenarios asked are always the same and the responses/justifications are always the same, but give them a minute to sink in before replying and insulting.

You must have commented on the wrong deviation there mate. This tutorial is not aimed at a particular person, it just shows how some people fake their art. If you are going to accuse me of anything; at least do it on the right deviation.

Don't be harsh please, I just wanted to say to "Hatefaketrash" (it seems you're the same person?): "careful about your accusations"; I just think that a bad reputation can hardly be undone. I'm not accusing this person of anything, really. The arguments given are surely convincing and as I've just seen these two deviations ([link] ), ([link] ) and I would tend to agree with them... The Geisha drawing is incredibly convincing though, which explains I was sceptical.

No I am not ~HateFakeTrash or any other deviants for that matter.
I dont care about her reputation, she acts like a faker and that is all on her. The evidence is against her and yet she keeps posting fake art. She doesnt even try to defend herself.

You're probably right. You're welcome, I'm sorry that you felt attacked by my comment, it wasn't my aim at all. Just wanted to give my own thoughts about it. Actually the person who wrote the journal is Ileina, not HateFakeTrash, I'm somehow lost in dA it seems XD

No I didnt feel attacked, I just get a little annoyed sometimes when people just post a comment without thinking about the context.
I know who wrote the journal, I know both those two people, they are my friends.

I've found out that it was Hatefaketrash who warned me of the "fakeness" of her works, Ileina who wrote the article about her, and you who answered practically all the comments on that article + wrote the present deviation, which was quoted in Ileina's article XD And I thought it was all the same person... got a bit confused here.

Well... If her work is really fake I just feel sorry for the people who buy her "artworks". I simply can't understand how they don't realize it's fake once they've receive it...

Well, if they do not know anything about art they might not be able to see that it is not a genuine drawing.

Mmh... I would think anyone can make the difference between a genuine drawing and a printed pictures with scribbles on it... I may be wrong though. Or maybe she hasn't sold anything at all, or maybe we don't have access to the reaction of the people who bought the works.

I hate when people fake art like this. It's absolutely dispicable. There is no merit in it at all, and it only makes those of us who take time to make a quality, realistic looking piece, (or those like me who are still learning and improving further), look bad! Thank you for exposing it as it truly is!

exactly. I fully enjoy that sense of satisfaction that comes from finishing a piece. I can't help but to think that a feeling of disappointment would come from a fake one

seriously now. tracing IS a way of learning how to draw,heck i was even tracing pokemon when i was six,(XD!) but at least admit it man...you cant claim that you made all the awesome art by yourself,because when someone becomes popular,this is bound to happen...

forgive me XD!oh god thanks for responding to my comment XD!*is feeling stupid right now*to be honest I read the journal first and the tutorial after,and I thought that I could post a comment about how "helpful" the tutorial was.but when I read my comment i was like "holy shit,this looks like a hate comment than a parody thing" reminds me of what does.parodies of art thieves... well im 18 and she is supposed to be 17,it takes YEARS to develop your skills like that(trust me im still trying to draw a somewhat good mouth in my characters)not to mention how accurate she draws the characters.heck,even a professional artist cant be that accurate!when I see things like that,i ACTUALLY SEARCH for proof instead of defending/hating the artist.some people are either too bored or brainless to do it...

She cannot get you banned unless you actually harass her and spam her. She can block you though. She blocked me on youtube after I gave her a serious critique. She asked in the video for some tips and I gave her some really good ones. I guess she was just scared of me

No, just deviations from DA.
You can use the thumbs in Journals and Polls, and in Forums (at least the thumbshare ones)
