This is not really a tutorial as much as it's to teach people to not be too naive when it comes to art. There are people who do this! This is of course only one way of doing it, I'm sure there are plenty.
If you do fake your art I have absolutely no respect for you.
Fake art - why care and what to look forI posted this last week for anyone looking for help to spot fake art. This is not law, if you don't care, feel free to move on. But if you do care that there are fakers out there, then maybe this could be of some use to you too. We have a serial faker on the loose on dA today so it sparked this little lot once more.
So, the questions/scenarios asked are always the same and the responses/justifications are always the same, but give them a minute to sink in before replying and insulting.
(Q1) Why do you care if someone is cheating what does it have to do with you?

OMG, that ship was so shocking to me. I knew and loved avatar for like 5 years and it never, never ever once crossed my mind...and then one day I just randomly saw a picture of Zuko giving Sokka a really intense blowjob (it was just so graphic)

This is funny, but it makes me so sad that people fake art like this. I used to trace things when I was a kid, but at least I always added something original to it anyway. Now any copying is just by sight, the way it should be.

I dont have a problem with people tracing as long as they are being honest about it. I would never do it myself, but it's all about honesty. And that is why I cant stand those fakers

Wow that's so easy to do .. i fell for it, far too trusting. I look at the finished piece and it still looks like a legit drawing .. wish i could do one in 3hrs

I bet there are certain "brats" who do art exactly this way ! It is frightening to see it's so simple to use softwares to fool people.

its weird seeing that coz now im finding it hard to tell real from this kind, so many times i have been accused of doing things like this that iv started to take pics threw out the whole process of me drawing, but at least if u look closer at the pic i bet u can still see some pixels were as i know mine are ture, thank you.

People need to know how easy it is. I get people saying that it couldnt be fake because of this and that, but the reality is painful.

I was scrolling through the comments and found a link to this woman's facebook page and you're clearly right. I can soooo tell how some of the drawings are faked (especially on a certain one) and it irritates me how so many comments are like "WOW!"
I cringed at a very perfect example. Seems she got a little lazy with that one. I can tell where she printed it on certain parts and how the scribbling was way to distinct from the printed ink to say she drew it. Plus, the shading wasn't very good at all. She scribbled with no real idea of any actual shading techniques and the background was scribbled over and smudged with her finger. No artist of this amazing "talent" would be caught dead using such poor craftmanship.... or even have the result of such realism when doing so.

People do not even bother to look closely at the evidence. Yes artists have their own style, but no one would scribble over a perfect drawing like that

I can understand why people, who do not themselves draw, can be fooled. But when I see great artists actually falling for this, it makes me cringe.
