This is not really a tutorial as much as it's to teach people to not be too naive when it comes to art. There are people who do this! This is of course only one way of doing it, I'm sure there are plenty.
If you do fake your art I have absolutely no respect for you.
Fake art - why care and what to look forI posted this last week for anyone looking for help to spot fake art. This is not law, if you don't care, feel free to move on. But if you do care that there are fakers out there, then maybe this could be of some use to you too. We have a serial faker on the loose on dA today so it sparked this little lot once more.
So, the questions/scenarios asked are always the same and the responses/justifications are always the same, but give them a minute to sink in before replying and insulting.
(Q1) Why do you care if someone is cheating what does it have to do with you?

To be very very honest, it's hard for me to tell the bottom one is not a real drawing,

If people use this method you can often see the pixels when adding extreme contrast

I think most of the time if someone is fake, the other pencil artists start catching on pretty quickly.

XD Good. I myself work in graphite a lot ( rarely post it b/c I hate what the scanner does to it.) but I guess I'm not good at spotting differences.

it takes a ton of viewing pencil art and creating pencil art to get really good at spotting fishy art.

Nobody would have the time to do that when they can just trace an animé screenshot from YouTube.
