Description
Ahsoka awoke in darkness, pain lancing from her left arm that seemed to be bound in some way. The mission was suspect from the start but the opportunity was too great to ignore, but it had all been a trap of the Moff's to rid himself of not only of a troublesome rebel group, but astonishingly to remove the Emperor's chief enforcer, Darth Vader.

Recalling the confrontation as she fumbled with her free hand for her lightsaber, it had initially seemed a trap of Vaders design, but when the hologram of Moff Iblis mocked both groups and his planted detonators caused the ground to give way, it was clear that Vader, not the rebel group, was the intended target. They were simply a useful lure for bringing the Sith lord.

At this point Ahsoka realised she was not alone, a mechanical rhythmic breathing filled her with dread as she turned on her weapon, flooding the rocky chamber with light and revealing the unmistakable shape of the Dark lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. What she hadn't expected was that it was his own cape that had been used to create a sling for her arm, and that he was currently locked in position, preventing the ceiling from crushing them both...

An idea for a short story where there is little direct action, but considerable conversation and conflicting views, moving away from the Rebels=Good/Empire=Evil into a grayer area ( after all the old Republic never seemed much better, and had tolerated a fair number of evils such as slavery, would a New Republic be any better than the old one or the Empire ? ). In the end it would conclude with them working together to free themselves and then both parting ways, neither being able to take action against the other due to their respective bond and Ahsoka exiling herself out of the Rebellion/Imperial conflict.
