Description
In the wake of the events of Return of the Jedi, Ahsoka Tano resurfaces to speak to a long thought lost friend...When i started to watch the animated Clone Wars years back, Ahsoka was one of those characters i was somewhat against, i didn't like the idea of her being added and thought she would be an annoying sidekick to Anakin. Yet she won me over as a welcome character and to be honest the writers made her relationship with Anakin more solid and credible than Anakins romance with Padme ( which felt more plot locked than genuine, i don't think any writer has managed to make it work ) and even made Anakins friendship with Kenobi seem secondary.
While it has looked as though she has died, i would have liked the character to have made a movie appearance ( for example she would have been better as the keeper of Anakins light saber than Mas whatever her name is in the Force Awakens and it would have been a nod to fans of the Clone Wars ), but that is unlikely.
Anyhow i like the idea of her surviving, i decided to not bother with words or dialogue and i leave it to the viewer for what they say.

Given that Ahsoka survived the events of the original trilogy as Rebels ended with a flashforward taking place after the conclusion of Return of the Jedi (even though you've said that you have mixed feelings on that show), I could actually see this happening.

I like that. I recall she never really liked being called that back in the clone wars, but it would be rather nostalgic for her at this point ( although she'd still probably ask him to stop calling her that after a few times

BTW Ahsoka recently appeared in the latest episode of "Star Wars: Rebels". She was rescued by Ezra from Darth Vader.

The fact that time travel in Star Wars is now Canon is rather disturbing TBH. The fact that the Jedi built such a temple raises questions on why they built it.

It wouldn't do the movies any harm at this point. To be honest I'd like Ahsoka to make an appearance, maybe as the person who had kept Vaders helmet hidden until Kylo and his Knights of Ren stole it from her as a prized talisman, but i get the feeling that won't happen.

It seemed a nice idea to draw and it's a scene i would have liked to have seen at the end of Rebels ( jumping forward in time to the aftermath of the rebellion ).

I haven't yet seen it, but after Force Awakens i almost wish they had set the new movie series a century or so forward in the timeline so that they had a clean slate, rather than treading on the original movies and giving disappointing endings for the original heroes.

if you think about it the 2008 clone wars expland why Anakin was unable to obtain the rank of Master.
from what i read there were 3 methods to obtain the rank of master.
first was doing something heroic for the Republic, but because it was the Clone Wars that methed no longer counted.
2nd was having skill/knowledge in the force, and we all know the force technique Anakin loved using that being the Death choke, which Anakin used a number of occasions during the Clone Wars even before he was vader.

third was successfully get your padwan on a Knighthood. but because Ahsoka ended up leaving the order Anakin never got to finish her training.

rember in Shroud of Darknes Ahsoka, had a vision while visiting the Jedi Temple on Lothal and realized Anakin and Vader were the same person. In her heart-twisting vision, Anakin scolded her for abandoning him. Was this a manifestation of guilt she experienced over leaving the Jedi.
that vision shows that ahsoka blames herself, For Anakin's downfall. knowing what we do from the Ahsoka novel,she returned to the order only to be put of in charge a Detachment of the five-oh-first of to lead a siege of Mandalore, which meant she was very far away from Coruscant and Anakin.

I don't tend to bother with the novels ( i feel a lot of the additional material including the Rise of the Sith movie, blacken Anakin/Vader to the point that he could never redeem himself just by saving his son and killing the Emperor ) but i'm not sure her returning to the Jedi Order sounds right to me, it never struck me as a club that you can hop in and out of.

the novel helps flesh out some things such as how ahsoka got her white light sabers, by purifying a bleeding kyber Crystal, from changing the crystal's color from red to white.
in the current Darth Vader comic's we are shown how vader during some meditation failed to completely Snuff out the light side within him(the Light Side being represented by these tiny butterflies and because one survived is onslaught).

A really nice and touching piece that would have nicely tied in the clone wars to the main universe.Unfortunately Disney has no interest in tying anything Star Wars together anymore other than the disappointing two films so far.
