Members of the Justice League, Justice Society, and The Authority team up to form a new Justice League America.

Starting from the top left, the characters are -

Midnighter - Former Government operative. Physically enhanced though still effectively human, and steeped in black ops, the Midnighter is one of the most dangerous hand to hand combatants alive with the ability to play out combat situations in his head before a punch is even thrown. The dark horse of the team and Apollo's partner.

Apollo - Former Government operative. Effectively a Kryptonian level Superhuman with similar solar powered abilities that Superman displays. Of a sunny disposition and Midnighters partner.

Green Lantern/John Stewart - Former Marine. This Green Lantern dispensed with the mask years ago, refusing to hide behind it.

Stargirl/Courtney Whitmore - High School Student. Bright and enthusiastic, Stargirl wields a variety of energy abilities from her Cosmic Staff.

Captain Atom/Nathaniel Adam - Former Air Force Major. Kryptonian level quantum energy powerhouse.

Powergirl/Karen Starr - U.S. citizen and C.E.O of Starrware Enterprises. An actual Kryptonian.

This was pretty much in response to my dislike of the New 52 character choices for a government sponsored Justice League America that was led by an Alien ( J'onn Jonzz, who currently isn't the big friendly version you could trust ), with a known Criminal ( Catwoman ), and a Green Lantern that looks like a PR nightmare ( Simon Baz ). So i thought about making a league made up of U.S. citizens and individuals with links to the government, that would look presentable to the public but was also high powered enough to stand against a Superman/Batman/Wonderwoman/Green Lantern/Aquaman/Flash team.
