Description
While Captain Atom absorbs the energies of the boom tube, the nearby members of the Justice Leagues prepare to move to a save distance. Reluctant to leave, Powergirl is nevertheless convinced to move by Batman and Blue Beetle's reasoning.Originally Powergirl's face was going to be shown, but i realised that it made her look as though she wasn't in conversation with Blue Beetle or Batman, so i had to turn her head so that she looked as though she was part of the conversation, and pehaps still looking at the events above.
Captain Atom has on several occasions done this sort of thing and survived what was apparently certain death, but there is never a guarantee of survival.

lol If I were the only human in a world of Metahumans like Bruce is so often, I would wear this Batsuit all the time Ā

Agreed
I must do another picture of that suit i designed, in this story it was meant to be needed after Bruce had been tortured on Apokalips for some time ( i never did draw that part ) and was in no shape to help without it.

I think your positioning PeeGee's head that way is so perfect! Many artists are obsessed with having their character's face in every panel, but it made perfect sense to show her listening to Batman and Blue Beetle and watching the firestorm of Captain Atom absorbing the energy. In fact, I think it is the kind of scene a real professional artist would do to advance the story.
Wonderful work; you continue to impress me with every new work.

Thanks for that admit i was reluctant to not have her face showing, but in the end it looked right for the story. It's good to know i made the right call.

Thats part of the "mark of a pro" I mentioned. Having a moment of reluctance, and then deciding you made the call to go with it. Your gut tells you when you've got it right, don't listen to the naysayers.
