Description
A picture of Psi - Judge Cassandra Anderson in a mock up Magazine cover.Judge Anderson is one of the few Judges who could be considered a friend of Judge Dredd's and arguably one of '2000 AD's' main pin up girls ( a version of the 'She knows what you're thinking' line was used years ago ).
I always felt she was one of the characters of Judge Dredd's world that lightened things, striking me as largely bright, breezy, sassy and witty in spite of the often grim nature of Mega City One and the Justice system she was part of. She was once a common character to team up with the stern jawed Dredd in the 1980's and 1990's whenever their nemesis Judge Death showed his undead face.
Her solo series turned her into a much more introspective character, covering darker elements and while perhaps making her deeper and more fleshed out, at times it felt like it had largely removed the more fun and flippant parts of her. Sadly she rarely appears in '2000 AD' now, and rarely appears in any of Dredd's key event stories in spite of being one of the most formidable telepaths in Justice Department.
Having largely been moved to the sister comic 'Judge Dredd the Megazine' her stories still seem decidedly dreary, but she is still pretty sassy, yet she might as well exist in an alternate universe to Dredd given that none of the key events for at least the last 5 years have really involved or affected her at all.
She has recently been appearing in '2000 AD' once more but only in prequel stories showing her in her cadet days, which has been fairly welcome though also a little unsatisfying.
As for the picture, I haven't remotely done her uniform accurate, but anyone familiar with the character would recognise her.

Thankyou Anderson can be great at times, other times her stories are terribly downbeat.

Ahh Andersson, I first saw her in Judge deaths first episode which changed my life and became a fan of JD so Andersson is a enemy of mine
Pitty she isnt in the later comics anymore :/ Heard they made a new comic about the dark judges again for the first time in 14 years but without JD, they have plan to make a big comic where he and the dark judges rejoin and probably Andersson will return then

The Dark Judges did return intending to track Judge Death down so that they could continue their 'judgement' of all life, but they were quickly trapped by the criminal P.J.Maybe. But they are bound to be freed at some point

I've never been able to read the Judge Dredd comics but I recognize her She seemed like a neat character, based on her design. Thanks for explaining about her :3

She is a welcome character in Dredds world I felt giving a bit of information about her made sense since the comic is a relatively niche title.

Oh, even in England it's niche? O: Or did you mean internationally? The way it's talked about, I thought it was as familiar as Marvel or a couple of DC heroes are in the States.

Oh, I was thinking more internationally i think the new movie will have introduced both Dredd and Anderson to a large number of people not overly familiar with the comic.

She looks close to her 'real age' whilst still being super-fit and attractive, which is good and yes there is that sense of fun in your pic. I have always loved Anderson but I agree the recent stories have been a bit dreary.

Thanks for the comment and compliment it would be nice to have an Anderson story that displays her humanity and compassion without feeling downbeat at the end.
