Description
In a non-New 52 DC Universe, Powergirl takes some time off from leading the Allstars to catch up with her old friend from her Justice League International days.Yet another picture of one of my preferred DC 'ship'. I must be the only person who ever thought these two would have made a decent pairing, i mean they probably work better as just good friends, but i think they work as well as any other DC pairing. Besides in terms of character and even design, i think they kind of gel rather well.
This picture took some time to finish, but it turned out fairly nice in the end. Both characters are from DC comics. Obviously these two are Modern Era rather than New 52 versions.Β

Nice pic. I keep meaning to dig up some Justice League International trades, since they appear to be the only trades collecting any of Captain Atom's adventures from that time period (sadly none of his solo stories of the late 80s appear to be available).Β

It's a shame that his 1987 to 1991 series has never been collected, there were some good stories. Thanks

Maybe one day they'll hunt them down and collect them like they deserve to be collected. I've read the basic outline of what happened and sounds like good stuff.Β
"Captain Atom: Armageddon" was a fun ride as well.Β

It's a little rougher around the edges now, but it stands up pretty well ( well, most of the issues i have do, and his encounter with Death of the Endless and Nekron was cool )
I agree, "Captain Atom Armageddon" was good, that summed up Captain Atom nicely i thought, better than the New 52 version in my opinion.
I think 2010/11's "Justice League Generation Lost" is also worth a look at for fans of the Captain. In spite of an origin flashback that made a silly error about how he got his powers and some alterations with how his powers work, his character was largely intact with some good moments.

Man, the more and more I see these two, the more I wish they were actually a thing in the comics
