Description
In an alternate reality, amidst the a burning city of London Captain Atom battles and falls against an out of control Wonderwoman. Suddenly the Captain is wishing he had brought backup.( Sort of inspired by me thinking about how Captain Atom could possibly have been captured by Aquamans forces in the animated Flashpoint movie and to be honest Wonderwoman is the only thing i could think of on their side that would stand a even a vague chance against the Captain, and even then he really is so much more powerful, but since Wonder Woman and Aquaman were at odds, that would mean Aquaman didn't have her backing him, so his army must have beaten Captain Atom... somehow... )
( Captain Atom and Wonderwoman were once fairly cordial towards each other but their attitude towards each other became decidedly strained over the years )
Characters owned by DC comics.

Also, his dilustel skin and quantum powers have a negation effect on all things magical.

Good point, if I recall right it's due to magic being energy, which Cap's dilustel skin absorbs.

Well actually it was revealed that the Dilustel and it's adjacent Quantum Filed Connection negates any and all form of magic. Detective Chimp says so in Action Comics #886ย static.comicvine.com/uploads/oโฆ

ย I'll be honest i'm quite aware of that story, but the magic negation thing never made any sense and never even existed before that story ( so about 17 years of not being a thing ) and was then ignored afterward, much like when a writer thought making Power Girl vulnerable to 'natural' materials was a good idea only for it to be completely -thankfully- ignored by later writers.
So i'll stick with Cap's long accepted energy absorption power, and magic being a type of energy.

I honestly chalked it up to a magic vs science thing and quantum physics being the most prosaic form of science well... I don't get it either but I'm an accuracy nut. Had to add my two cents.

Diana really went off the reservation with the lethal force option.

Her angry expression is wonderful! Does Wonder Woman not have the rumor to make TV or a movie?

in the graphic novel the atlanteans actually captured Geo-Force and used him as the weapon
it made more sense honestly, but considering how Aquaman was holding his own against Wonder Woman(he was actually close to killing her in the comic before flash and co. interrupted them and separated the two), with his trident and his extreme strength, he could capture atom as well if he has his army to back him up

Back in the (pre-Crisis) day, if an Amazon had her Bracelets of Submission removed or broken, she went berserk. Based on some of the bits I've seen where Wondie lost her bracelets, we're talking force-of-nature directionless destruction and no qualms about killing (in fact the prospect of snapping her squeeze of old Steve Trevor's neck was rather exciting).
Bill Marston said something suitably semi-kink-worthy about how a woman's power will tear her apart without control (and we're back to the Loving Submission again)... man, early Wonder Woman, the more you read it the more Marston's personal interests and philosophies become glaringly bright and unsubtle. You just wind up pondering how no-one else noticed it before Foamin' Fred Wertham pointed out Wondie and the Holliday Girls were not displaying healthy, proper relationships with one another and how Bruce just has to love Dick...

Nah, it's cracking as it is
Though that bracelet fact should tell you a thing or two about the direction I'm steering the Amazons in my story... considering the Bracelets were only worn as a reminder of what happens when you let a man (Heracles) take over your island and violate your people wholesale... and how big the Greek gods were on elaborate and harsh punishments... and what the mythic (if not the comic-based) Amazons were like...
