He was chewing and the mouth was moving quite fast, so some of the photos I took weren't very sharp.

I don't know if camels chew their cud, but that is what he looked like he was doing

Great work here Eve. Nice detail emphasised by being in B&W.
Love the grin too

The motion blur of the cud chewing compliments the insanely crisp detail on the nose above really well
Very good shot Eve

I was disappointed that the chewing motion was in evidence at first, but it grew on me.

Haha what a funny face! Maybe the focus would have been better on the eye, but it's still a sweet photo. Camels are so hilarious

A member of the Camelid Family, the Lama, gave me such a laugh at an event I was attending, "Zoologica". A TV crew were filming a programme "Animals Roadshow." The main presenter was Dr. Desmond Morris, he of "The Naked Ape" & his co-presenter Sarah Kennedy. Two lamas, with halters were brought forward for the opening piece to camera. Desmond put his hand through the halter, Whilst Sarah held the reins. My daughter & I were watching when I noticed the lama being held by Sarah was having a good chew, I nudge Ali & told her to watch. Sarah was about 2ft. from the lama & just as she started her piece the lama threw back his head & spat a load of mucus in her face, she screamed, Desmond swore & said "Damn woman, I told you how to hold him" Ali was in fits & so was I. It made our day because neither of us can stand the woman

Ha, ha. Was that a long time ago or is Dr. Desmond Morris still alive?

It was in '87, & Desmond's still going strong, as far as I'm aware.
