That's a wonderful picture you got there! The sharp look on the bird's eyes and the simple, but beautiful colours/textures in the feathers really capture the viewer's attention. The focus mixed with the balance in composition and soft blur in the background make it a really pleasant and effective photo to look at as well.

I didn't even know that Rolands Lanature account was missing. I went to his other two accounts, so they are still there, but I haven't had any contact with him for over a week. I do hope he is OK.

OK, I got a word from Roland and he is closing accounts one by one because he is leaving dA. Poup's will be the last to go so we still have a chance to contact him and try to change his mind. He sounds OK though.

I'm going to comment on a couple of the pictures and see what happens. What makes you think it's our friend. It wouldn't be the first time he has disapeared and popped up as someome else. I think he has a wicked sense of humour.

Yes I have seen his work around the bird clubs, he is very good.

Without going to the zoo, the only birds I seem to capture in the wild are those in my garden, or the ducks, geese, sealgulls and pelicans, on my trips to Albany.
Yay!! for zoo's.
