I walked around the Ferris wheel, snapping it from all angles and watching the people in those little carriages. No one was showing the sort of fear you see on the faces of people who ride the fairground Ferris wheels so I decided to get on next time it stopped.Related content

I thoroughly loved walking around this wheel, shooting from all angles, but I kept wishing I had a wider angle lens.

Thank you Rettie. Yes I did take some on the wheel. I'll have to look through them again but I don't think any are very brilliant. You can see some of them here on my flickr account. [link]
I put them there because I talk to more Australians on flickr than I do on dA. I also put lots of my nature stuff there too as it gets picked up when people google. I had one of my bird photos made into a cross stitch pattern by someone who had googled the bird species.

I went past there just yesterday while looking for corellas. Is it any good? One of my friends said it was expensive.

Well being an oldie, I enjoyed the slow ride and it gives you time to take photos. I think I paid $15 for about 10 minutes.

Thank you. Yes I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The last time I went on one was probably about 40 years ago and it went far to fast for me. This was a nice, gentle ride.

It's a slow one for sightseeing. You wouldn't catch me on a fast one.
