wow now this is a powerful shot! I also agree probably the Mulga. I have had one here much lighter in colour over 8.5 feet long, a real empress. As she slid past me it sounded like someone was dragging a heavy length of pipe. A great, evocative pic that strikes the eye!

This is a gorgeous shot of what is clearly an elapid of some sort. Based on the shape of the head and the pattern of the scales, I believe this is a mulga snake (aka the king brown snake). I can't say for certain, as I'm not an expert in Australian snakes. Well I'm not an expert in American ones, either, lol. I just know the snakes in my area pretty well since I spend so much time with them. This truly is a gorgeous shot. You've composed it so nicely and really brought out his beautiful copper coloration. Thank you for showing it to me.

Well done on this. I imagine it was hard not to get reflection off the glass and that you had to put your lens on top of it.

He's a Copper Diamond Back..... well its an educated guess... didn't you wish you could get on the other side of the glass and really enjoy his colours?

Or it could be a King brown snake. I was quite happy for him to be the other side of the glass.

the composition is superb, the way the snake is wrapped around the tree. The color and focus both excellent. Really wonderful shot
