Description
The original rough for the cover to LIVEWIRES #2, the second issue of the miniseries I wrote and laid out (and did the covers) for Marvel in 2005... This version showed all of the Livewires being "nano-assembled" in a big vat at the same time.Quite rightly, the rough was rejected by my editors as being too "busy"... So I went back to the drawing board, and simplified it considerably, as you'll see in the NEXT rough.

man, i wish that they would have printed more of your roughs at the end of the manga trade. Sooooooo, totally digging this would have been cover.

This is definitely a better cover! I'm kind of glad this wasn't used, though, because otherwise the title would have covered some of the cool details like Corny's controller and Social's pretty face.

I love that Cornfed and Hollowpoint Ninja are playing against one another on the PS2. Gothic Lolita's face just floating off to one side is really adorable. I never knew that a phone could work in the nano-vats, though.
