Description
A while back, Dean Trippe had a blog meme where people were redesigning costumes for Stephanie Brown, AKA Spoiler and for a brief time Robin. She's a tragic character, not just in her fate but in how DC handled her. I won't go on forever on the subject, but you can read more about it here:[link]
This is the submission my wife and I concocted. I drew it and she colored it. What a team! We weren't selected by Dean or his cohorts for inclusion on the Project Rooftop site, but we're still proud of the work we did. Looks good. I especially like her shoes. The cape by her butt looks a little thrown in, like it doesn't attach to anything else, but it's a cool design overall.

Yeah, but this way she can wear the cute short cape and still have her butt covered. It's practical! I was actually going for the feel of a shirt or a hoodie tied at the waist. I don't know why, but I'd had the thing in my head for a long while and had been anxious to find a place to use it.

Awesome! Yeah, I wish that Spoiler didn't have to die, her rivalry with Secret for Robin's affections was one of the greatest catfights in all of DC history.

Pfft. If they do, it'll be a ragged, empty shell of its former self. Two are dead, Wonder Girl is so emo-tastic she's unrecognizable, and everyone else but Robin has been MIA since the series ended. SO it'd be Robin + trash. They'd probably try and cram Supergirl in it, too, just because they seem to love stuffing that character down our throats at every opportunity

If they gave Secret back her powers, brought Slobo back from the future, added one of the Pointmen (or two), and gave Empress a second chance, it could work (emphasis on could).

You have a point. But the thing that disappoints me most about Marvel is that Cap and most of the New Warriors had to die! They have zero right to kill off Captian America!!

...Or the New Warriors. But killing them off was peanuts next to what they did to Speedball. That was just cruel and disgusting, and the Penance character is a prime example of everything wrong with comics. It turns my stomach to think of it, and to think that they believe it's 'edgy' and 'deep' when it's just f'ed up S&M slasher-porn. Ugh.

I totally agree, and Speedball used to be my favorite of the New Warriors. But now he's just so f'ed up that you can hardly tell he's Robbie Baldwin anymore. And this 50 State Initiative thing, though it is sorta interesting, is really a shot in the dark. There aren't THAT many superheroes out there; and after the Civil War a lot of them are either dead or have fled to Canada!

Not only aren't there that many heroes, but does friggin' Utah need it's own super-team? How many terrorists and evildoers are gonna target Oklahoma, d'ya think? I can understand guarding the coasts pretty heavily, and some border states maybe, but pretty much the whole middle of the country is safe and snug. Heck, even if there WAS an emergency in Omaha, another team could be there so fast it wouldn't be a problem!

Yeah, and besides what's gonna happen when Excalibur, Big Hero 6, the Soviet Super Soldiers, or some other international team comes to visit? Is S.H.I.E.L.D. gonna arrest them and force them to sign the Registration Act to let them operate within our country? Or are we gonna give them amnesty for the sake of diplomacy? The whole concept is completely skewed!

honestly i don't blame them for offing the character, none of the comics i read with her were very good, which is to bad cause she had potential

Then you weren't reading the right books! Seriously, though, she'd been around for a long time, and had been a major part of Robin's life for around a decade. If they were bored with her, then either brake them up or do something interesting with her - don't just have her brutally beaten to death in oversexualized poses and then immediately forget she existed. It just isn't cool at all, and those of us who DID really like her got shafted for nothing.

looks awesome. I love the costume design (hoods=win) and the pose is very dynamic, also the backround complinents the peis well, I always have trouble coming up with backrounds for my pinups. oh and comfort did a amazing job on the colors. well done
