Commission from Mid-Ohio Con 2011; Copic marker, ink, white paint pen.One of my prouder marker-moments this year. I must admit to knowing very little about this character, but he was fun to draw. Very cool character design. This was one of the first times I dabbled with using a spot-color on a marker piece (in this case red). It came out so nicely that I've continued using it here and there since.

Thanks. It was a little nerve-wracking to add the red. It couldn't be undone once it began, and it's such a large area on the piece that if it didn't work it would have just ruined it completely. But it turned out okay, and I've continued experimenting with spot colors ever since.

You're totally right! All of the Young Avengers have nice costumes, actually. It's a well done series, and they're fun characters to read since they're all such fanboys (and girls).
