Two quick feline anatomy tutorials I stuck together.These two things are probably the most common anatomical mistakes I see in cat drawings o__o; Especially the chest.
Like honestly... Cats shouldn't be drawn like dogs (or plastic toys). Cats and dogs are built for two completely different hunting styles. And being a cartoonist or really "stylized" isn't an excuse for fucking anatomy up. So stop it, just stop it
Anyways, I hope it helps out at least a few people, so enjoy

Yeah, I plan to continue to make these quick tutorials so I'll probably do paws next c:

But what if you're trying to do a full-front view?
I've seen that when my two cats are sitting that their arms don't close together from their paws to their shoulders (Something like 'T') but that there is a little 'v' of a chest. (Something like '\/')

It's not the best example, but it might be good to note. Unless you can give me an example on a real cat of how it wouldn't work.

Cat legs/chests dont have to be squashed together. They can have a "V" form but what I'm saying is they don't have this front: [link]
Cat front view: [link] You can see how the two shoulder muscles come together in the front and are their breast, there's no chest/ribcage inbetween.
And when most animals sit, their ribs and belly come forward a bit and their shoulders/breast take a different pose.
But maybe you'd understand Akeli's tutorial a bit better

I found this to be very helpful. I've been having trouble getting my cats to look cat-like, so these are some points I definitely have to pay attention to.

I'm glad you pointed out the facts about the differences in the chests between dogs and cats. Common mistake, I know I've made it a time or two and try to fix it. Interestingly enough, cats do have a flattened rib cage.
