Description
Okay, Devart has tons of cat photos to reference from, but very limited cat drawing tutorials. >_> In fact I didn't see any good ones.There are plenty of tutorials on cat eyes and paws but not the whole body in general.
This was hastily made but should prove useful.
I miss my cats.

Heh...wow, It's been about a year since those cats actually died. (When I posted this I was away at college.)
But now I live on my own and have my own delightful furball, Lucius.

It is very fun. Luckily for me the animation program for my undergrad was in the film video department instead of the art department so I did not need a portfolio. I've never had any formal art training.
However, I did get a portfolio review when I was still deciding whether or not I wanted to go to art school. What he told me that for colleges, they want to see that you can learn. For that portfolio I had included pastel paintings and sketches from my art classes of still lifes, and of course a few cartoons/anime.
Unfortunately after undergrad, my animation/art portfolio was very weak because I did not take art classes. (I wanted to get into 2D animation). I had another portfolio review and it was quite crushing. I gave up on my dream of 2D animation and after a few weeks of job hunting decided to get a Master's degree in Digital Media and get involved with video game animation. However, in the process I discovered that my strength was in designing games and writing so I change majors and took a couple internships, and oddly enough got to use my 2d animation skills in video games. 
That was a lot.

Ohh really? Well that is pretty lucky I guess. I thought you'd have to go through this whole art training since you're dealing with making video games and what not, but I guess it all just depends on what exactly you're going into.
Ohh okay that's good than. They never ask you for specific stuff like vocal points of a room or like 10 traditional sketches and all that?

I'm having trouble with the ears though. How much higher above the eyes are they and how much space is between them?
That's kind of sad I asked that, because I've grown up with cats my whole life. xD Actually, two spontaneous juvaniles are bouncing all over the house and are potentially breaking it to pieces at the moment. xD
