A commission for Seolhe , featuring her beautiful character Ismene and a nature-inspired harp.
Done with pencil and colored pencil, though the scanner really chewed up the contrast and color. 0.5 Mechanical Pencil and Colored Pencil

This took a very long time to finish, off and on. And yes, certainly! I always start with a rough sketch and hash everything out, figure out details and composition and pose, before I finalize and clean up the lineart. Thank you for asking.

How did you manage to get your lineart to look so opaque? Mine always went silver but I'm assuming that you used a mechanical pencil to outline it? Love the minute details like her freckles

I have been a fan of the Celtic Harp thanks to the gifted and talented Orla Fallen from Celtic Woman. I was very much drawn to this peice for that reason as well as my Irish heritage. It is just a beautiful drawing that is just amazing and spectacular.
