Oh i have finished the rovers cripple and i have a theory. Tell me if im off or close.
The great war was a decade ago in this book. A decade is 10 years.
A prince was 'Killed' during it but there is something thats nagging me. What if the Prince didnt die. You didn't say how old he was when the prince 'died'. And Falen is- well was- 16 and has no memmorie of his child hood just the time he has spent in the sancturery. So i was thinking is it posible that the prince was 6 during the war? And if he was is it posibble that Falen I the dead prince... Just cant remmember? It is a good theory! The time and age does fit. Even the end where the rover showed Falen the visions my Theory got even stronger after that and so far when it came to books like this I have never been wrong. I was eather right or close......
I have a Falen Fan Pic up now. hehehehe I think its cute. Pluss I LOVE SOLO!

I like how you did the flashback in black and white, and how you only showed one person entirely.

I have to say, you are my favorite artist, here on dA, published, and anywhere else. I've been surfing your gallerie for a few hours now, jaw dropping at every piece (and envy growing by the minute), and I see I'm nowhere near the end. *Phew!* Keep it up! Love this piece, too.

I never really had much familiarity with fantasy-type stories with kings and such, but this picture and its description really brought its world to me. That king seems like a real person instead of an anonymous ruler. And he was able to have this significant personal connection with the boy.
It is very interesting, I am not used to thinking in terms of relationships like loyalty to a king, or of a servant like your Danny and Luke. I guess it's just not part of modern society, where everything seems so... economic, maybe. Thank you for showing me that other kinds of relationships exist.
(argh, how come there's no emoticon for respectful reverence?!)

WOW! This is simply amazing! I just....wow......speechless.....very rare. Their expressions are perfect, and the light and shadows is exactly right. The little piece in black and white looks fantastic in the middle, gives it just the right touch. Well done!!

Awww, wow! I love this!
What I find particularly unique about this piece is the way the memory is portrayed in that little orb. The characters are in color, and the memory is in black and white. That's such a great effect! Very well put together. You always put in such beautiful detail. =]

No, Falen is Luke's father. Faeren is Falen's adopted son.

Okay, knew there was some connection between the three of them, and I knew Falen and Luke looked alike... I thought Luke and Faeren might be brothers too, they seemed to have a really strong bond, so I guess I was right. ^^
