Description
EDIT: renamed Plastic type to Rubber type, because I've just had way too many people completely misunderstand the original name (though the word plastic is accurate in its meaning of something being deformable), and considering how the official types are also often simple well-known words that might not necessarily be accurate, I figured I'd just go with rubber.Revised newer version:

The thought was that Dark is the aggressive/vicious type that often employs sharp claws/fangs and could be the type that actually stretches Rubber beyond its limit.... and cause offense of Dark and Ghost need to get more distinctions wherever possible xD

A lot of really bold suggestions here, I like it!

I'm glad
When I remade this overview of rectons in the new style, I wanted to make it as exhaustive as possible, so that the potential candidates for the new type would make the idea behind the type as clear as possible.
It probably seems like the most "wtf?" type out there, sicne it's not something generic like a light element or whatever, but I actually think out of all my fake types, this one is the most original and unique in concept and on the type chart.

I dig it! I concur with the sentiment you've expressed in the past that a creature being aquatic shouldn't nesseccitate it having the Water type, and to that end I'm especially impressed by how you innovated the shellos family!

I just always felt like it would be neat if Gastrodons forms went beyond just appearance.

How do you feel about the name?
Still not sure if Rubber is the best, but I've abandoned "Plastic" xD

I like it! It's definitely way better than "plastic"; and it gives a good idea of what the type is about.

You're welcome! Out of curiosity, do you think calling it Gum type would sound better?

I liked Plastic because you used to have more manmade mons there, such as Porygon, Mewtwo and such. I also enjoy Rubber, but not as much.

I actually prefer Rubber to Plastic, it sounds better to me. I couldn't tell you why exactly though.

I feel like the association with chewing gum is too strong

I got this impression too. Well, I guess Rubber is the best name for the type then
