Thanks. Still working on some layers in this one, hope to fix them for a print soon.

I like your color choice very much and the impression of chaos against the subtle textured shapes at the top of the image, only I wonder how the image would look if the black mandy would be a bit smaller.

Very cool. Personally, you should explore that sunlike (yellow) portion more; it looks like it has a lot of potential.

Cool I like how You mixed classic symbol of fractal art (mandelbrot) with awesome, exploding shapes and colors!
This should be kinda ID for the whole fractal gallery

Though I'm not a huge fractal art fan (not that I don't appreciate it, it's just something I'm not really into)
Every now and then one speaks to me and evokes things in my brain.
I saw this and was transported back to the Jack Kirby days at Marvel. This is the power of Galactus. The Power Cosmic!

Fantastic Four was my favorite series when I was a kid, I can relate to the Galactus reference. Kinda even reminds me of Terax the Tamer before he was defeated.

Sense of movement and space immediately grabbed me on this one. And the gradient is awesome Jeff, really refreshing - I especially like how the multi-sized circles have those glowing edges

Aeires In reply to JLarenART [2007-05-27 23:01:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, I wanted to give it an eruption feel so I ran with hotter and more distinct shading than I normally do. Glad you noticed the circles, this hybrid mandlebrot had holes in the formula so I made them as interesting as I could to build on the theme.

More fractal art, eh? Hm. I have a question.. do you make several pieces or 2 and combine them in some sort of graphic program? or do you make it all at once

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to shebid [2007-05-27 15:35:16 +0000 UTC]

Actually, Ultra Fractal has built in layering capability, as well as merge modes and transparencies similar to Photoshop. This allows the artist to add layers and layers to their work, then render it all at once as a finished piece. For this one, even the frame was done in the fractal program.

shebid In reply to Aeires [2007-05-27 21:31:55 +0000 UTC]

wow Seriously. The frame.. do you have to be a mathematical genius of some sort? -- Btw, haha, fractal art makes me feel stupid.. ask anything about vexel art, and i got you, but when it comes to fractal, im all questions -.-*

Aeires In reply to shebid [2007-05-27 22:59:32 +0000 UTC]

[link] You can download a trial version, and no, you don't have to be a math genius. All you have to do is read through the tutorial and be brave enough to experiment.
