Thanks, Tom. Still learning all the ins and outs to UF, but I'm getting there.

got stars?

awesome job ... how many layers did this end up becoming?

Aeires In reply to trinity-77 [2004-12-03 08:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. This was 5 layers. I could have added at least 20 more because the formula was so user friendly, but after a while they all started looking alike, so it wasn't worth the effort. I've noticed two schools of thought on layers. Theirs and mine. Most (theirs) people tend to add a lot of layers to give it some little tweaks here and there. My theory is to cram as much into each layer as humanly possible. Some of my most deep images aren't heavily burdended with tons of layers. I have such an unorthodox approach to fractals.

Very nice, it reminds me of autumn time when all the leaves are falling to the ground.

Aeires In reply to chilledsashel [2004-12-01 04:11:34 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. That's how I pictured this when I was putting it together. The name had a double meaning, as fall was falling by the wayside and the leaves were falling away from their lofts.

The colors are very autumn and the picture places me up in a tree (I'm a leaf) and I'm looking down at all my buddies down on the ground that have fallen from where I'm at...

Aeires In reply to Fuelman [2004-11-30 19:35:13 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. That's exactly how I see this image. I remember the maple tree seeds that would spin in the air like helicopters when they fell from the tree. I was kinda of aiming for that with this one, and gave it the colors of autumn because it's my favorite season.

Awesome!

Thank you. The brown is my favorite also.

brown is among my fav colors, the others are red, blue, purple and black (I really cannot choose the no.1 ). I find it very warm, calm and in some way cozy color and love almost every shades of brown

Thanks. Funny how you get so close to an image when you make it that you miss something like that. Probably a good thing because I'd have screwed it up if I purposely tried for a Christmas image.

Thank you. This was the only one I've had in UF were everything worked properly. I had to stop myself from adding more layers because it flowed so well. I wish they were all so user friendly, but sometimes I poor hours into an image that gets deleted, just so I can get a good enough post.

I could be a very nice paper to pack presents for christmas I really like how you choose colors for your works.. they always look so good..

Aeires In reply to areshi [2004-11-27 07:30:53 +0000 UTC]

I can see that. Actually, I spend a long time on colors. I've been working on a new one and deleted it at least three times because the color isn't coming out right. For me, color is the key to great fractals.

areshi In reply to Aeires [2004-11-27 12:24:23 +0000 UTC]

and you're right bad colors can destroy all work..
