I am wanting to look more into that program. But I need to know if it can also do more simple things, like just flat art... like the kind of fractals that you may see laying around...

Well, the flatness of an image in UF is dependent upon how the artist uses light and color. Some people do really 3D looking works and others do some serious vector looking fractals with the program. The great news is that it gives the capability for both so you can take whatever direction you want with your works.

Wow! fantastic!! I love that texture in the red areas! It contrasts nicely with the electronic-tech feeling of the rest...really cool piece!

Thanks, I had a hard time with that. I originally wanted a more complex texture but after working with the background so much I decided to keep it simple, in a minimalist way for the red areas.

Thanks, I'm still kinda feeling out some new directions but taking them slow as I 'build' more depth into my works. Don't feel I'll ever stop learning and pushing limits.

Thanks, Elly. It started as a contest piece but had the hardest time fitting the two rings into the size requirements so I just posted it in my gallery instead.

Interesting what people see in that, it's a bit different than what I saw.

Crumbled up paper that was tried to be flattened out.

Oh, interesting! I can see that. Especially with how many presents I wrapped this year with red tissue paper!
So now that you've heard everyone's interpretations, how does it affect your own?

Well, I appreciate different points of view but the paper stuck with me because of how many renders it took to get details worked out. Art is subjective, which is totally cool by me.
