Cool. I try to mix my featured up until they hit a certain amount of faves. It's good to bring out the older ones sometimes because new friends never saw them unless they did some serious gallery stomping.

Thanks, Thelma. That's a pure sinusoidal that really surprised me. Didn't know sinusoidals could make shapes like that.

Thank you. Another pure variation that was being stubborn, but I refused to let a program get the better of me.

Thank you. One of the few square images I've done. I'm beginning to like the square postings more.

I absolutely love the flame. This is all kinds of cool. However, the gradient isn't doing it for me. Still, this is quite nifty!

Thanks. It was a pure sinusoidal, which is real tricky to work with, but I hate to lose to a fractal.

Thanks, Thelma. This was a sinusoidal. Not my favorite variation, but I was determined to get something with it.

I like, not only the Apo itself, but the framing. The amount of black between the apo and the rusty line is great. Keeps the piece separate yet it all goes together. I like the rusty colored line as well. Keeps me boxed in without wondering too far away, and on the main object itself. Beautiful!

Thank you. I finally broke down and sumbitted it for print after someone suggested I should. I agree with your view on the framing and appreciate your artistic view on it. I tried to go for a frame that could be displayed as is, or close enough to be covered by a real frame, if need be. Glad you like the image itself. Going to have to get you hooked on Apophysis also.

All I can see is a plate of tortilla chips. That's real nice of you to share info about how you made this. It's one of the most beautiful apo renders I've ever seen

Aeires In reply to Xinoir [2004-10-13 06:10:52 +0000 UTC]
Tortilla chips. When I help people with apophysis, I tell them to take the control triangles and make them dorito shaped. Yep, it's true. I guess all that prodding caught up with me.
