Thank you. That's one of my favorite gradients. It's also one of the default ones, which is really cool.

very interesting piece - I've been meaning to comment on this one for a while - I like the black boarder - I could imagine hanging this above a fireplace

Well, that settles it. I've been debating on submitting this for print. Now I'm going to. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement.

Thanks. I do all my apophysis pieces without post working them, except framing and fontwork. My philosophy is do the work in the program to save time and work later. I can also see the swans, now that you pointed them out.

Definitely not your average everyday flame. This is stunning work! I love what you did with the colors. Instant

Great fractal! I love the detail in it as well as the awesome colouring.
Only point of improvement would be to add the name of the fractal and your name at the bottom.
Also, greatly titled, i love the name, it matches great with the fractal

Thanks for the comments. I debated adding the name to this one. The only reason I didn't was the symmetry to it. If it would have been a vertical piece, I would have titled it without even a second thought.

Thanks. I think this is my first square Apophysis piece, so I wanted to make sure I put that extra effort into it. The gradient is the default one that came with the file. Lately I'm finding that I look for gradients more than structure when I'm looking through the batch files. Seems to work for me.

oh see that's the thing i ignore cuz i'm a gradientaholic. i just look at flame structure.
but you should be proud of this one... it turned out fantabulous.

Thank you. I had the Gimp at one time, but didn't know it could generate fractals. I deleted it because I also had Photoshop, but I may have to give it another shot to see what kind of fractals it can do.

Whoops... The Comment "Good. It's a refreshing to see an open composition." was supposed to be in response to your question.

little too chaotic for my tastes as far as a thumping heart-toungue out reaction goes...but the spatial breakup is definitley a new apo sight for me ....and your polished render abilities ironically makes the large area look ( heh heh ) .."polished" ......like polished agate

Thanks. I thought about zooming in or cropping, but it kinda appealed to me the way it is. As far as the polished look, well, let's just say my favorite shape is a triangle.

Simply amazing Jeff.. I love the subtle black lines towards the middle...
The depth and detail to this flame.
The gradient suits it just great also!

Thanks. Not sure if anyone else really noticed the black lines and how they are the tip to both burnt brown sections below them.
