This is a little gizmo I built from scraps one weekend. It's just a 2" quartz ball on a copper stand, with a 1-watt UV LED in it. Doesn't do anything but give off a cool blacklight glow.. The base is cut from a piece of oak from a very old church pew I got from a friend.Related content

I love the enginuity you have of using meterials and parts that normally you would never think of using to make very magically eye appealing props.

not only is it usefull as a light, it can protect your house from burglars by shooting black light static charges at the thief

I have a room in one of my books that has each wall and the ceiling lined with something like this, they were meant to keep those on the astral plane who in the room confined to that place.
