Fwaaah, the fact that you captured not only a terribly difficult falling angle for both a human torso but ALSO for a deer body boggles my mind! Definitely faving this for future reference/inspiration!

Well, deer legs are really skinny so every knobby part stands out different when it's bent various ways. Then there's variation between different deer and antelope, so yup, the feet/legs can look very different at times!

you can see the movement so well - his body and the way that he's twisting is wonderful, especially considering he's no typical animal, hah - i love it when you can really see the weight/gravity on characters : )

This character reminds me of Actaeon, the poor hunter transformed into a deer by the goddess Artemis and then torn to death by his own hunting dogs. I prefer this image of him becoming a deer centaur; I think I read a story about that once.

I did like that story back when we did Greek/Roman mythology in school. It was pretty vicious, though; when Athena caught some guy peeping on her, she made him blind, but at least she gave him the gift of foresight!
