Yeah. I was trying to show that the foliage was sort of hiding them and that it was a quick sketch to capture the image. I got into an egret/crane kick for a while because I was thinking of illustrations for a story book (not necessarily in this style) and this turned out to be the best of them.

Go figure. Only it wouldn't work for the story I had in mind!

if it comes to stories... I often look at people's galleries here and compare a few pictures that would make a good story

Maybe you could change the story a bit then? This work is far too good to change it

well, not really planning on changing the pic for the story. That's definitely an idea to change the story line, but I think I'll probably be drawing more pictures of egrets in the near future!
