Description
Argentina - 1,000,000 years agoIn my version, the fifth episode of Walking with Prehistoric Beasts is about very big cat. South America is a isolated continent for the long time until one million years ago when the land bridge was formed up. The Great American Interchange played the animal’s roles to the important migrations between North and South America when the balance of environment has been shifted. For example, the saber-toothed tigers, Smilodon, came down to the tropical region of modern-day Pampas, Argentina, and takeover the ecosystem as “King of the Beasts.” Why? They’re here to increasing competition for food, habitat, and limited resources with other apex predators, such as the 10-feet-tall terror birds.
1) Saber-Toothed Tiger (Smilodon populator)
2) Giant Spike-Tailed Armadillo (Doedicurus clavicaudatus)
3) Running Hippo (Toxodon platensis)
4) Terror Bird (Psilopterus lemoinei)
5) Prototype Camel (Macrauchenia patachonica)
6) South American Horse (Hippidion saldiasi)
7) Giant Ground Sloth (Megatherium americanum)

Instead of Phorusrhacos you should have put Psilopterus, since Phorusrhacos disappeared 10 Million years before this setting.

"Saber-toothed tiger" is an out-of-date term, and Macrauchenia may not actually look like a tapir-llama.

Two things:
One, you want my advice? Just get used to it. And second, I renamed “prototype camel.”

What's wrong with saying "saber-toothed cat"?

Because the so-called “saber-toothed cat” was nothing like a small, domestic cat, and it’s too big for being cute. I like that name “saber-toothed tiger”, so that’s why I put stripes on its back fur.

We have no proof that Smilodon was a forest-dweller, so stripes don't seem likely. And "saber-toothed TIGER" suggests a close relation, which isn't true at all. "Saber-toothed CAT" is far more accurate.

It’s too late to change, because I have already decided which nickname I can picked.

Why is it too late to change?

Because it’s my art project.

That does not make it immune to criticism.
