Ethiopia - 3,200,000 years ago

In my version, this is the fourth episode of Walking with Prehistoric Beasts by which is based on human evolution. Ever since the rainforests were replaced by grasslands in Africa for around 3 million years ago, this is home to the most successful creatures that originally climbed down from trees and walked on two legs. They made look like chimpanzees, but they are the long-lost relatives of ours, and they’re called australopithecines, or walking apeman. They have their clever hands and their cautious approach of nature, but these earliest humans are no match for the man-eating predators, from Dinofelis, the terrible leopard, to the giant crocodile.

7) Grazing Rhino (Ceratotherium praecox)

8) Hoe-Tusked Elephant (Deinotherium bozasi)
