Realtime music visualizer for your Windows desktop! See demo videos on YouTube
1. Get Rainmeter for free from rainmeter.net
2. Download the skin from the right side of this page. If nothing downloads, right-click > "Open link in new tab"
3. Open the file with the green raindrop icon and click "Install" in the pop-up window
4. Left-click on the spectrum to customize settings.

To increase precision and performance, decrease your audio device's sampling rate. Right-click volume tray icon > "Playback devices" > Follow this image
If you're updating from an older version and feel that the audio output is mistimed or unimproved, you might need to go to the settings window to apply "reset audio settings..." and tweak it from there.
If it doesn't show on the desktop, try the following:
• Open Volume Mixer and check if Rainmeter's volume is unmuted
• In the skin's installer window, check the box "Load included skins"
• In the skin's settings window, set the skin to use a different audio device
• Disable external software with sound processing and effects such as MSI Nahimic

Guys help! The visual isn't showing on my screen. I have tried to disable my Nahimic and Rainmeter is not muted on Volume mixer. I can't find "Load included skins and how to set a different audio device". Anyone on?

The horizontal rotation won't work for me. It just rotates 90.

It dosen't work for me... When i choose to use the input option the visualizer shows the waves but when i choose the output one, nothing happens. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. The just won't shows the waves. Does anyone know how to make them apear.
It's just really weird. When i choose the right speaker and try to play music from spotify nothing comes up! I have no clue what to do. Please help!

To fix -1 pixels thing, right click on the settings window and click edit variables. Then you'll see the values of width and height at -1. Change the measures to the desired amount and save. You may have to refresh the settings window. After that, in the Rainmeter app, open up Frost folder and load up GenerateMeters.ini in the GenerateBands folder. It should appear now, hopefully.

I can't find where the width and height are -1, I found a place there is stands;
-1=-1
S=!SetOptionGroup
SO=!SetOption
U=!UpdateMeasureGroup
UM=!UpdateMeasure
But nothing happens then I change it... Propebly just me who are stupid... Could you send a text (like the text above) so I know where in the text I should found it.

you can find the settings for Height / Width here "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Frost\resources \Variables.ini"

I also encountered the -1 pixels but somehow I figured it out how to fix it
Make sure the Frost is loaded in your desktop. Right click the Frost then edit variables and you will see the width and height with -1 pixels. Edit the number and save it. For some, the visualization is not working/visible so it is not easy to find it in your desktop.

i keep re downloading frost because every time i open and try to adjust the height and width it goes straight to -1.... so then it's stuck there and there's nothing i can do

Hey, first of all thank you for your work, this visualizer is great.
That being said, I'm having an issue with this one, when I pause or shutdown a song, there are always some part of the visualizer that stays on screen and doesn't disappear. (see : prntscr.com/gbj1lq )
The only way I've found to make it disappear is by right clicking on it and refreshing, I've even tried to add an update timer to the skin, but nothing does the trick.
So if anyone knows how I could either make the skin refresh itself without me having to right click it, or just solve the problem.
Oh and btw, I use another visualizer that works perfectly fine, so I know the issue isn't with my computer.
