Raven: Hmmm. Summer's daughter, was it?
Ruby: Ruby....yes.
Raven:....let her go, she's my daughter's sister. She would get pissed if she saw her tied up or worse, beaten, and give her back her weapon.
Member of her tribe: but...
Raven: NOW
The member of her tribe untied her and passed her weapon to ruby.
Ruby: Thanks...Raven, was it?
Raven: Yes...it was. You look just like your mother.
Ruby: Yeah, you were members of Team STRQ right? What happened?
Raven: it's simple really. Most of us went our separate ways. Your mother went ff to continue huntress work, your father became a teacher, I went back to my tribe, and Qrow......went back to Ozpin.
Ruby: I know that...but what about the whole thing with me and yang...what happened?
Raven: It was just one night, 18 years ago. I came to see Tai; we still talked and met up sometimes. We were in love despite being separated. He knew about me being the leader of my tribe, but he didn't care. Your father and I spent one night, then your sister sprung into development. We normally only talked and met up once a year, but during that one year I got bigger and bigger. I thought it was built up gas, or worse, but it was your sister. I kept it from Tai for years and I wanted to tell him, but I could not leave my tribe, because they would go on a rampage or go "off the rails" if I wasn't there, which is why I barely leave them. The day she was born was during a Grimm attack; I knew I could not let her live in an environment like this, or be raised in, that and I knew Tai would go crazy or mad knowing his own daughter turned into a mad tribe member...so I had no other option. I saw that Tai was with summer, and I guessed that he was tired of waiting year after year for me....so I gave your sister one last kiss, put on my mask and sent a letter to Tai to meet in private. I told him that this was his daughter and she can be named whatever you see fit, and that you keep her away from me, because I'm dangerous and my life would ruin her's. He looked confused but after she uncovered her face, I was gone. I saw the conversation he and summer had. I thought summer would get angry....but she understood and smiled holding Yang...I knew she would be a better, and perfect mother, son I had no worries, and that I would not have to feel bad about breaking any ties with my daughter and past lover.
Ruby: That was the last time you saw my mom and dad?
Raven: No, I met her and Tai again to better explain the situation. She was 6 months pregnant with you at the time so it clarified that they were a family and they moved on from me.....until 5 years later when I heard she was missing. Police, news and social reports. I even tried looking for her myself, but nothing. Qrow went a little mad, cause he cared about her, like a little sister, like me, and I didn't talk to Tai, but I saw the anger and sadness in his eyes, looking at him at a far....I decided that with a little blonde girl who doesn't kn ow who her real mother is, and a little crimson haired girl who lost her own mother...it would be best to leave permanently. But I vowed to save Yang once, so that I can stay away from her. I would always watch her from far, but only to see her progress.
Ruby: That's why huh.....I'm sorry to heat that.
Raven: You sound just like her, and look like her, talk like her and smile like her. It's like I'm talking to my best friend.
Ruby: Well...I'm not her, I'm my own person and I would like to stay until my team and Yang come for me.....and my uncle.
Raven:....*huff*.....ok then....NO ONE ATTACK, INURE OR ABUSE THIS GIRL STAYING HER! ANY SIGN OF INJURY CAUSE BY ONE OF YOU MEANS YOU'D HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME, DO YOU UNDERSTAND GENTLEMEN AND LADIES?
The tribe: YES LEADER!
Raven: GOOD, NOW GET BACK TO YOUR STATIONS!
Ruby: Wow...they listen to you.
Raven: Well, you gotta know how to stop the dogs barking, and the cats from clawing.
Ruby: I see, well thanks for..not kidnapping me...or selling me...or...*gulp* hurting, me?
Raven: Any daughter of Summer's, is welcome here....well for a night, not into the tribe obviously. But you could join if you wanted to?
Ruby: Oh no, I'm....good...really...I'm...Good......well...I GOTTA GO USE THE LADY'S ROOM...or lady's bush....or...where is the....?
Raven: go down, take a left, then there's 2 tents. Axes are men, lances are women.
Ruby: cool, thanks *burst into petals and goes*
Raven: She looks just like her mother...possibly even has the potential to surpass her....but she's still got a lot to learn.
Random guy: HEY WATCH IT RED HEAD!

Ruby was just about to rest up until Raven came in.
Ruby: OH, Raven, hi.
Raven: Just checking my men haven't?
Ruby: No...they've been good to me, even offered me food and water...but you know, it's a bit hard to trust.
Raven: *looking confused*.
Ruby: ON NO, BUT YOU'RE OK, YOU ARE, THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME STAY REALLY, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Raven: It's fine...I've done some terrible things too.
Ruby: Like what?
Raven:..........Ruby...I was taught to steal...to kill...at such a young age. When I went to beacon, it was like being in a Utopia compared to the outside world. I never knew me and your uncles birth parents...I originally went to beacon cause our tribe needed me or qrow to get more experience whilst they were hunting and killing. We thought it was a bad idea, but qrow was surprisingly happy. He made new friends and was popular, I however was alone and with no one, until I saw your mother, little summer get picked on. There were 3 girls: A tall blonde girl, A brutish brunette, and an angry red head. Your mom only just spilled her drink on her shoes and didn't mean to, but she took it the wrong way and she was wrecking her cloak that her mom gave her, apparently she lost her own mom when she was younger....orphaned as a kid, wrapped in that white hood on the doorstep, a girl who just lost her protectors, with that being the only thing left. I didn't know at that point but I came over and punched her in the face so hard, I broke her nose.
Ruby: Was she ok?
Raven: She was rich so her "Daddy" got it fixed. Anyway. Summer didn't have any friends either, so she kept following me everywhere, trying to sit next to me, talk to me and even try to ask me my hobbies. I shamefully grabbed her by the arms, threw her at the locker room door and shouted "WHY WON'T YOU STOP FOLLOWING ME, WHY DO KEEP TRYING TO TALK TO ME" and that little face said "I just wanted to be friends". She ran off in tears and I felt bad...I never had a friend that wasn't my brother before. This was a time where team organizing was different, we had 3 weeks of education, then we organised teams, then trained. In tried looking for summer in my free time, even in the cafeteria....but then I realized that she was just. trying to avoid me....I snapped at her and she ran off...but one day when I was at a park on the swing set....I started to feel like going back to my tribe and give this all up...I rather go back with people who were the closest to family I could ever get...or have no friends but forced team mates and be miserable. It's only when I started crying that, your mom came up with a box of tissues. She was shaking a bit, but was smiling to keep me calm. I took a tissue and she sat next to me, and I swear she said something so bizarre and stupid that I laughed, followed through with it, but didn't regret it.
Ruby: What was it?
Raven: she said "There's a new zombie horror romantic comedy....wanna go see it?" and I burst out laughing and I said "you know what....yes" and we were best friends ever since. Oh boy, that was a real ride. After beacon and Team STRQ was disbanded, I knew I had to go back to my tribe....but not without us taking 1 of 4 pictures of us each as a team.
Ruby: Sounds like a nice story.
Raven: It get a iffy now. Qrow felt like he needed to so some jobs and stuff, and wanted me to stay....but I couldn't since we had to go back to our tribe. It was heart wrenching but eventually after an argument and fight with summer nearly getting killed trying to stop it, she said "I won't blame you for going back....but just know you'll always be...my best friend".....so we all disbanded the worst way possible. Summer in tears, me and my brother splitting up, and Tai watching the whole thing as I left. We all barely met up. I would and only could meet Tai once a year, but when I got pregnant with Yang that was probably a sign to say that this could never work out, summer got the man he had crush on, and Qrow....he has his moments, but he was till upset about the fact I felt the team, Ozpin and my own daughter, cause even though he saw summer as sister he needed to protect, that was just a cover up for his real emotions for her. I may have....done some things....but I knew I messed up when I got my brother heart ripped out....so WE, would barely meet up and talk, and with Yang and then you, summer's death, qrow being there, and with this messed up circle of meetings and talks, we tried to keep it at a minimum, but we were, and still are kicking a dead horse.
Ruby: Again...I'm sorry. But did you need to stay with your tribe? I might not have been born, but you could have at least been there for Yang, and Dad, and Qrow....and Mom.
Raven: Yes....but I needed to climb the ranks and control them. The wrong leader could of meant more rampages, more murders and more lives being ruined. You may think I'm doing this for my own selfish gain...but it's repay their kindness to me....but protect any unfortunate soul or souls who may come our path.
Ruby: I understand...even good people have to put on bad faces.
Raven: I'm not a good guy Ruby....the world is not black and white. Every coin has center, there's always a grey area and angels can be just as devilish as demons. you need to learn that.
Ruby: I've been told about those black and white, grey speeches my whole life, isn't anything you can't say to me?
Raven: Goodnight ruby, let us hope your friends, my daughter and my brother get here soon to pick you up....I'll call for you if there is a Grimm attack....can't miss the action now can we?
Ruby: Thanks for everything Raven....you know...I hope Yang can see this side of you and not what Qrow told me....when people talk to you or get to know you...you're nice.
Raven.........well....that was flattering...but I shall rest as well....so goodnight.

Sigh.... all this is making me wish Raven and Yang could really still try and make up for lost time.

Me too....but the thing is, after the girls save Remnant.....what's there left? Raven already missed younger birthdays, graduations, adult talks, first steps, first words, her baby teeth falling out, and even building her first weapon...all those tiny yet crucial moments are gone. I mean, the only big things are her Wedding and the birth of her kids, HECK, she may not even want to get married or even have kids. What if Raven's tribe betrays her she's got nothing left? I think Yang might be forgiving enough to maybe try and convince Tai to let her move in and try again...but she would really have nothing better to awkward conversations, meet ups, family dinners and if something does happen with her tribe, does she even have any friends besides her brother and her annoyed Ex-husband? Yang sure seems to angry to let her mom be her friend, they could try and be friends first but, it might not even work, they seem very disinterested in one another, are aware of that, and I think Yang would be the one trying to avoid her, like a phone call, but will adapt to her being around. Here's an example.
*RING, RING RING*
Yang: It's my Mom.
Ruby: Aren't you gonna answer it?
Yang: No.
Ruby: Why?
Yang: Cause she's just bored and hasn't got any friends if Qrow and Dad aren't around.
Ruby: Exactly, she hasn't got a friend, and you can help be her's and she could get better at it more...so answer it.
Yang: No.
Ruby: *Bland stare*
Yang:....fine *grunts*. Mom....hey.
Raven: Hi, just checking...if you're...well.
Yang: Had a cold, but alive....you?
Raven: Ok.....I just have a mission later today, but tomorrow, how about we hit the GYM? I'm, getting a bit big, being in the house most of the time.
Yang: Sorry mom. really, really big thing tomorrow and I can't.
Raven:......I understand....I'll talk to you later.
Yang: K, see ya *hangs up*
Ruby: That wasn't nice Yang.
Yang: Well she wasn't very nice by not being there for 18 years, only 12 more years and we're good.
Ruby: Stop this, you're an adult now, not 18, make up, ring back, say that *thing* is cancelled, go to the GYM with her, and you don't have to be her Daughter, just be HER, FRIEND!
Yang:................*calls her*
Raven:.....Yang?
Yang: Yeah it got cancelled...apparently they don't need me or anyone there so um....wanna go to the GYM tomorrow?
Raven:....sure, that sounds good.
Yang:.....OK, Bye *Hangs up*. Happy?
Ruby: Just give her a chance, you might like this new Raven.
Yang: *huff*....it's just awkward....she's been avoiding em my entire life and yet, despite her calling out to me now, I still run to her even when I just want to walk away.....she would have been better off with her tribe, that way she would feel like she would have more purpose and wouldn't need to adapt to this kind of life. I know moms and daughters don't always get along well....but this is a relation ship that looks like a puzzle. It's hard to tell what it is, it's broken....and there's missing pieces. I just don't know if I can fix a puzzle that's only now being solved....after so many years of it being stored away, you know? Summer wasn't related to me..but she was my mom....not her.
Ruby: *puts hand on shoulder*....Raven's...odd at the moment, but just try and pull her towards you instead of pushing her away from you, and maybe you can see more of her?
Yang: Who knows Ruby...who knows?
But if Yang did have kids she could of at least made up time for them instead, maybe train and look after them. I mean, if she's living with Tai she would be around all the time, but if they were still apart, then I think something like this would happen.
*Raven pops in from a portal*
Yangs daughter and son: GRANDMA!
Her husband: Your mom just teleported in the living room...again.
Yang: You get the dust pan and brush, I'll talk to her.
Raven: How are Grandma's little hunter and huntress doing?
Son: GOOD, I LOST MY TOOTH, BUT I DIDN'T CRY, AND I SCARED OFF A CAT FROM SOME BIRDS!
Daughter: HEY, HEY, HEY, I WANNA USE A SWORD JUST LIKE YOU, CAN YOU TEACH ME?
Raven: Maybe when you're older.
Daughter: How old?
Raven: When the time comes little one...also hello Yang.
Yang: Please call when you're visiting mom, we just got this cleaned and you're very muddy.
Raven: sorry, working for the Atlas military after being a bandit for years makes you work up a sweat, I just got back from a mission and thought to see my 3 little adorable Sun Dragons.
Yang: I think you miss counted.
Raven: Of course I didn't my little Sun Dragon.
Her husband: Doesn't your dad call you that?
Yang: She makes that name so empty when she says it so...."casually" and loosely.
Raven: Anyway I got something for you two.
Her kids: PRESENTS!
Raven: for you my big strong man, A bear claw, *hold her hand next to her cheek and looks at Yang and whispers* It's filed and coated in plastic, it's fine.
Son: THANKS GRANDMA!
Yang: If he loses and eye you're getting the bill.
Raven: And for Grandma's brave little future huntress. *gives her a cloths with something wrapped in it*, this is filed down piece of my sword that I make into a necklace just for you. You will probably carry on the
Brawnswen blood line, so take this to give to your daughter, then daughter, and then her daughter after that, and so on, so forth.
Yang: *grumbles, you've never given me anything to pass down, lazy, no good rotten*.
Raven: Oh, I got you something too.
Her husband: Oh thanks...it's deodorant.
Raven: I didn't know, EXACTLY, what you liked so I looked for the most expensive one and asked which smelled the best, straight from Atlas.
Her Husband: This is WAY, TOO GOOD, YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO-
Raven: I got a raise surprisingly, so, my treat.
Yang: It's all good mom, you don't need to give me anything.
Raven: *hands over a yellow present* I went over to Beacon and well, I found this broken and nearly destroyed on the ground.....So I fixed it and tried to get it back to what it used to be...I think.
Yang: *opens up a box holding her old amber cilica, back to it's old colour, shiny, and with some dust bullets loaded and with some extras on there too*.......*tear*...why did you go back for? It's been years and how would you remember that it might have been still there?
Raven:.....cause we're family....and we help each other.
Yang: *starts bursting into tears and hold Raven*...mom...*sniff*
Raven: It;s ok, I've got you
Daughter: Mommy?
Her husband: Honey, you ok?
Son: Mom, did something happen?
Yang: *still crying but lifts up her kids and laughs*, nope, mommy's fine, she feels great...wanna stay for dinner mom?
Raven:.........I made a promise to your father we would meet up...I could leave or we could invite him?
Yang: lets just have a good old Xiolong/Brawnswen dinner...what do you say?
Raven: I say, need some help setting the table?
Ok I went too cheesy with this one, but I had fun writing it and I think she would be like this if she was a Grandma or something.
But back to the conversation.
In terms of canon story, they might just have to be mutual and come to an understanding that Raven left her and Tai, so she can't just come back out of no where, but also because it probably won't suit her. Yang might want to travel the world after the final season and might visit her family for important events or when she wants to talk to them or have a meal or misses them. They might have different ideals and tastes in relationships so they would just be friends or have a "mutual" understanding like this.
Yang: Look, Raven...you gave birth to me, but Summer is my real mom. You weren't there for when I was a kid, and maybe we're not family. I think it's best if we just not have a Mother Daughter relationship, cause my Mom died when I was 7.
Raven: Summer and Tai have raised you well. But I agree. I have a tribe to manage before this, *new golden era* rises and, I need to teach the dogs to heel before they bark.
Yang: And another thing, you're dangerous, Qrow's safer than you despite his powers, and I don;t want you around me, Dad and especially Ruby.
Raven: Excuse me? I can my Husband if I wish to.
Yang: EX, husband...and you ripped a whole in his heart even though Summer tried to fill it...but that only made it bigger. You don't need to scare someone to hurt them, just doing things like what you do can. So zero contact with Dad, me, Ruby and my friends. I don't want you teleporting to me or Dad, or anyone except for Qrow cause I kn ow that he's your brother.....but besides that, you don't even go near OUR house, our home.
Raven:....why....why can I never see you, or your father?
Yang: You gave us up when I was born, why should we not give up on you?
Raven:.......I understand...fine...no more contact, none...but what of any future Grandchildren?
Yang: *chuckles*......I'll consider writing you a letter if "the Blood lines continues"....but I doubt you're getting any since I'm thinking on not letting my own little girl potentially losing 1 or 2 moms.
Raven: Goodbye Yang, for the last time.
Yang: Goodbye Mom, Forever.
And those are my 3 potential stories.
