Description
This is how I do it.My watchers voted and wanted to see a plush tutorial. I used my latest plush [link] as the star of this craziness. I didn't go into much detail about how to cut out certain details, so if there are any questions feel free to ask in a comment or note
I do commissions -shameless self-marketing-

Most of this tutorial seems pretty doable! Except.....I've never even TRIED to sew before
Would I easily be be able to learn how to sew or would it take a while for me to learn?

everybody learns at a different rate. It also depends on what materials you have available. I find hand sewing to be a lot harder than sewing with a machine. My first plushies were pretty embarrassing, but if you learn from your mistakes, you'll make something you'll love!

Wrote about it in my blog .

And now, even though I know I will fail, I shall try.
I can't sew if my life depended on it.

You can use hot glue, that's what I'm gonna use.

I will try to make one for my best friend, I hope she like it, I'm not even a good maker... But for her, I will do my best... ;-; Just a question, I don't have a sewing machine ยฟCan I use the traditional way? (a needle and a yarn) I think it would be more difficult, but maybe works, doesn't it?
For the record, sorry my bad english. s:

Could you give us the measurements for the pattern? I've been trying to make my own- and since i don't exactly have any plushies at all, I was wondering about how tall, how thick, and how far out everything is on the pattern.
And this tutorial is really great~ <3

AlchemyOtaku17 In reply to DietyRose [2013-01-12 19:37:14 +0000 UTC]
Sorry! I'd just eyeball the tutorial and do it yourself. The legs and arms should be at least 2 inches thick for seam allowence

This looks so simple * Q *
Wow I cannot wait to get started at my sewing machine, got it for christmas, so yeah, can't wait to start making plushies <3
Btw, does felt/material cost much? Because it'll mainly be my mum buying it and I don't want it to cost a fortune ; w ; <3

AlchemyOtaku17 In reply to sonxfanchara [2012-12-30 00:01:29 +0000 UTC]
If you don't get much or scour the remnants it can cost no more than $3 a color

Is there a free outline that you use? Or do you just outline former plushes?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
AlchemyOtaku17 In reply to kaylaangelkisses [2012-12-05 22:23:40 +0000 UTC]
I just use that outline, It's identical to a gingerbread man if you have thick seams

kaylaangelkisses In reply to AlchemyOtaku17 [2012-12-05 22:46:14 +0000 UTC]
Ok thanks! I got all the stuff I need but the outline. I have a gingerbread man cookie cutter in my cubbord.
