ohh, this si so helpful! because i have a friend who wont stop asking me how to draw dragons, and no matter what she wont listen to me when i say "I've never drawn a dragon in ym life, and ai don't know how!"
The tips i attempted to give her did work so well.. it just didn't look right. Now i see what i've done wrong! and the preportions and muscels are amazing! i'll be sure to send a link to my friend xD thank you so much!

Congratulations on great tutorial ^_^ (and on being featured, too)
Thanks for showing the way muscles goes, I already feel like this is going to be very helpful. To be honest I'm already tired of figuring everything utterly on my own, while I'm looking at real animals, it's rather hard to imagine how their muscles look under skin and furl.
And, when I drew dragons I always also thought of cats and horses =]
Anyway, thanks again

This is a really detailed tutorial! I really like how you have the skeletal structure and the muscle placement too.

Nice tutorial!! (I didnt notice any bad english at all). I agree- dragon should be draw many different ways, but I like how you related this 'mythical' structure to animals of today. Very cool

I never thought of applying my human anatomy class to drawing anything but people, but I guess there's no reason it couldn't work. Thanks for letting me in on this great concept.

Simply wonderful! I will constantly look at this for help in the dragon field as well as any other unusual supernatural creature. The leg references alone are worth a thousand favorites.
Great job!

This isn't only helpful for dragons - it's a great reminder that everyone should keep basic bone and muscle structures in mind when creating species! Excellent work! A well-deserved DD.

Now I know what I should do today....
By the way, the fourth sentence in the sixth box should say 'underneath' instead of 'underneat'

wow! i absolutely love your tutorial, it will most certainly help me to better invision how the muscles and things should appear under the skin ^_^
as for spelling and grammer: first box, last sentence should say "creatures" with a "s" because you have dragons pluralized; second box should say chose not "chosed"; third box, structure should be "structures"; fourth box, "together"; box six, third sentence take out "like"; box seven, second sentence, should look more like this "Here are different kinds of dragon legs that show that.....(the rest is good up until...) like a cat to be "anatomically" correct.", next to last sentence "instead"... bell rang, i'll say more later but very very excellent job on the tutorial, it is one of the besr i've ever seen!!!!!

always admire someone who goes into the WHY of things rather than just a step by step how-to.
anatomy is essential
