He reminds me of the Black Rabbit from "Watership Down"...just obviously a deer instead of a rabbit (and definitely more graceful).

I like this twist of symbolism. I often see stags representing life, protection, renewal (like in Fantasia 2000's Firebird Suite, Harry Potter's Patronus, etc.) But I enjoy your creativity in showing a stag embodying the opposite of all those things while still maintaining the beauty and allure those creatures naturally carry. Very cool!

A stag was one of my many first ideas of destruction, not because it "CAUSES" it, but because it always seems like thw world is falling down around it. No matter where it goes.

This one has intrigued me here and in the larger image (with the dragon) and at first, I wasn't sure why.Β Perhaps its because I have never thought of a majestic stag as a creature of death and destruction.Β The beauty of this creature is mesmerizing... luring and capturing its victims with a hypnotic, sensuous grace.Β Surreal, otherworldly, magnificent.

Reminds me of the creature in Hannibal the tv serie. The maincharacter faces a deer like creature who brings him to murdercases. Fascinating creature!
