Making up, After an argument.I was going to do a continuation of day 23: But frankly, they never really had a moment of reconciliation xD and there are spoilers... so... didn't want to reveal those yet. So this is a more fitting making up scene...
"What the bloody hell are you doing out here!" someone hissed, bringing Razen back to the waking world. "Do you know you had me worried sick!?" deep brown eyes bore into him, Alistar's eyes. Still groggy, Razen gazed up at the Slayer; trying to find the words. "Well?" he demanded "What were you thinking?"
"I-I wanted out-" his voice was thin and raw from two weeks of self imposed disuse.
"Oh I see, you wanted out." he quipped "So that makes it perfectly alright for you to just up and leave the hospital wing?! Without telling anyone?!"
"They would have stopped me-"
"And for good reason! You're nowhere near recovered! Ahh!" he roared, "I can't keep doing this with you. All you do is shut me out and that's a crappy thing to do!" Thunk Alistar tossed a small parcel at Razen's feet "This was the reason that I came to see you today. I thought you might want that sooner rather than latter."
With trembling hands, Razen slid open the envelope, a small familiar cast iron pendant slid out onto his palm. Razen turned it over, running a thumb over the embossed seven and the smooth pearl inlay. He took one look at it before be becoming overcome with emotion. He started to cry, really cry; all the anger, frustration and hurt came spilling out shaking him to his very core. Disgusted with himself, Razen hid his face.
"Spirits! What-" Alistar floundered. Razen only shook his head. For the first time in a long time, he wanted something from the slayer, he needed something from him.
"Just- could we stay- for a bit longer?" he choked out.
Alistar surveyed him for a moment before sighing, joining him on the ground, placing an arm around his shoulder. "Alright, but just for a minute."
At first Razen wasn't sure what to do, but then he threw himself into the blonde man, burying his face in his neck and gripping him tight. He hated feeling this vulnerable, this out of control; but he'd rather Alistar see this than anyone else. That was new-

Not having seen any of your previous images I come to this picture honestly not knowing the sex of either character. You have drawn them in a slightly androgynous way yet that's not a criticism - to me one of the things that makes this image wonderful is that it could be two men, two women or one of each. The intimacy and the loving care would still shine out regardless. Your text of course answers that question but in no way changes my opinion of the piece. The fact that many men grow up being taught that it is not manly to admit that you're hurting makes this is an even more intimate image.
From a pure technique perspective you have made good use of shadows both hard and soft to add depth your image. The strong diagonal line from the top right corner also helps to draw our attention to the faces. There is a nice contrast between the hard musculature of the characters abdominals and the frailty of the head and shoulders that reinforces the conflict in this images.
All up a lovely image.

I'm glad you like the emotional aspect. This story takes place about 500 years in the future in a post apocalyptic type world (Not the drab and dreary "everything is dying out" kind, but a "the disaster has happened so we'll just have to deal with it" kind of way.) Loss happens, trauma happens, and bottling or covering these things up just makes everything worse. Better to accept and build on from there. (sorry for the tangent, but this is something I gave a lot of thought about XD)
I'm glad the diagonal line draws attention to the faces, that was part of the reason I placed it there! and it's good to know that the abbs worked out, it was my first time drawing them like that ^^

The work on poses and lighting was the first thing I noticed here, it was the reason why I decided to look at the work closer and comment it. I like the effect created by light source, it makes the space look deeper and imagine there's some room characters are sitting in. It's really nice way to keep the background simple yet still interesting. Though I can't say the shading is perfect. I mean, the diffused light (that is front light source) should be a bit darker, than the main light source (the side light, it feels it's window or door). Now it looks like there's more than one main light source and characters lacks some shadows at the left side (relatively the viewer). However, it depends on what exactly and how you want to show. You worked great with poses, I like the interaction, looks pretty natural, emotional. Great work on small details like characters' fingers. The stylization... well, I can't say I like it whole, but the result is nice. As I said before, I like details such fingers, ears, hair, cloth folds, those scratches, other details. Faces are nice, however for me eyes look too stylized, but it isn't a big problem if someone does not like the style. The whole impression is nice. Nice work

Ahaha-spirits, I forgot about the light~ I'm not sure how, but I did~ I was just really wanted to use the dark shading cross the top and that was really all I focused on. I'll be more conscientious in the future. Glad to hear the poses worked out, I had to rework the skech more than usual before I got it to where it didn't look weird. It's also good to know that the background worked; I was thinking I should add more but it didn't seem to add anything.

XD yeah, this one was rather intense to draw~ Also, I have no idea how to draw tears XD
But yeah, he's kind of in meltdown mode. He had been captured by some slayer extremist who harber a deep mistrust of anyone with magic, tortured him to try to find out who he was "working for"~ By the time he was found, he was in pretty bad shape, and had just shut down. He had just stopped talking for the longest time. I mean, no one listened anyway, so why bother? And Alistar had no idea what to do~ so I guess this was a bit of a breakthrough moment.
