Description
I am still working on my sci-fi comic project.. I sketched out the ending and some "in-between" panels to flesh out the story a bit. In the mean time here is a collection of thumbnails, layouts and character studies. The tiny panels show how I work out the action sequences.. piecing the various poses together to make some kind of sense.Related content

Is this akin to the storyboards used when plotting out movies? Seeing the next steps would be interesting. I eagerly anticipate the finished product!

I like that bottom left battle sketch a lot, will that be in your sci-fi comic? I almost want to use that myself, lol.

Yeah.. Feel free to use any of these sketches for inspiration. Most of this stuff will make it into the comic.. I'm up to about seven pages, mostly in rough panels. Hopefully I can get everything finished in the next week or two.

Yeah you've got some really good layouts here. The longer I look at some of them, the more little details and interesting poses I discover. Are any of these inspired by fights from comics or photographs? Definitely looking forward to seeing the more finalized panels!

I usually just do dozens of tiny thumbnail sketches and then choose the best ones to develop. Then I just keep them in a sketch for future reference. The rough pages look like this: alexichabane.deviantart.com/ar… .
