C.P. = Calestine Princess
Full title: High Priest Bipedal Concepts
Hurrah, dah Filleh ish back and with teh uber artage of Epic Fail! <8D
Colored character concepts for the High Priest characters Dareh and Elpay. Both of which are Lanian brothers who have escaped from the Lanian war frontier because they refused to preach the gospel of the Lanian gods and instead shared the gospel of the Mystic World's Creator thus making the Lanian Lordess greatly offended and ordered to have them tried on a trial but they managed to get out before they were to be executed.
At a later point of the novel I had a concept of when the two are having to walk about in society with Nelthilta, Zamora summons the low ranking Spirit of Transformation in order to give them bipedal, smaller forms. Because I wouldn't think a 5 ton 15 foot tall aquatic dinosaur-like monster would fit in very well.
This concept is still in debate with me, however. But I still have plenty of time to decide considering I'm a heck of a long ways away from that point.(Speaking from 12/25/09) Considering this was done ages ago, the anatomy is freakishly and horribly bad.

Very awsome designs! I too suck at male anatomy. XP Im trying on practicing more on that, so what Im doing is looking up tutorials for male anatomy on the net. It really helped me when I drew females. ^w^

The first thing I noticed was how sooooft those shiny ear-fur-dandley-things are. I wanna brush them,for some unexpainable reason.
Uh,the only critique I have is that on the nude-back picture of Elpay,the arm that's reaching up for something looks kind of short,but It may just be perspective.
And I LOVE *twitch* the frill lights.owo I know from reading past comments that they're...well...lights in their frill and work like flashlights and finding a mate and such,but is what IS it they all can do?

Indeed! Calestine Princess is currently on Chapter 10 in working! Once I get it completed and revamped over a couple times I really hope to get it published. It may take a loong time to get there but I really am strong in wanting this to happen.

Well, the Frill lights can do many things, they can blink in correspondance to certain moods, they can be completely turned off during sleep or when hiding, at times they can give off heat, and they can do many many other things as well. Some Lanians even have the ability to blind people if they can get them bright enough <80

If a low ranking Spirit can change the shape of a....creature, in the lack of a better word, what fancy stuff can the higher ranking spirits do?

The color purple is friggin' sexy XD A true man can wear purple. Dark purple at least. Not so sure about bright purple. That even scares me.

Whoah! Uber references! I never thought of trying out stock poses before. That actually could come in handy.
Hih Spirits can do all kiiinds of stuff. Heck, if they wanted to, they could turn someone inside out and make them walk around that way just for fun. But that'd be creepy and unhealthy.
Oh yes, all Lanians have that "ear hair". And Zamora and Garin both are half Lanian so its a trademark I guess for them to have it as well. Truthfully, I'm not even sure what the heck that "ear" is. It's more of a horn then and ear but it kinda doubles I guess. So... ear horn... thing. The ear hair is really silky soft though.
The lights on the frill XD The frill is actually really stiff and clumped together hair that's so hard and stiff it works almost like that of a fin. It softens out slightly when out of water for too long so Lanians usually have to roll around in water sources every now and again in order to get it to stiffen up again. Being aquatic aliens that is. Frill lights are used for expression purposes, finding mates, work like a built-in flashlight, and it can stun prey if bright enough.

AND HM THEY LOOK FAMILIAR. XDDDD; well, it could just be the fact that you used the clothes you designed for your version of Red and Pur and put 'em on them, but I ain't gonna deny seeing green flesh with red and purple eyes, and the two travel together is gonna be an ickle suspicious. X3
Critiques - None to really speak of. I might prod you about how the facial features are, like with how the mouths are shaped when partially exposed (like with Dareh's second concept sketch) if you were aiming for a more reptillian look, but other than that, I don't have anything at the moment. GOOD JOB! <3

XDD indeed! I've always been known to take my favorite characters and use them as inspiration for my own. Heck, two of my older characters have the nearly exact same names as their inspirations! <80
Though Dareh and Elpay were originally both twin brothers concepted for another novel, before I ever knew of Invader Zim, and they also had green skin then, but now, I just couldn't resist to add a tallest flare to them! So I made their base colors red and purple XD Not to mention red and purple are my favorite colors. Which I still find to be akward with the Tallest O.o Though Dareh and Elpay's personalities are definitely totaly opposites to the Tallest. But still, it's fun to imagine!

Wow, that is kinda funny. This is random, but before 4th grade my color scheme of choice was blue, purple, and white. After 4th and to this day it's been red, green, and black. I INVERTED. XDDD
And Draziel and Izova, unfortunately, did spawn from Red and Purple, except now that they have such a variation on them (the human ones, I mean), people probably wouldn't know unless I said "Oh yeah, and they originated from Zimcharacters." or summat like that.

XD Yeah, there's nothing really wrong with inspired characters I don't think as long as they form to be their own type of character after awhile. I mean, having two twin-looking Irkens who are both Tallest but one's orange and one's rainbow, both of which having identical personalities to Red and Purple, yeah, that'd just be uncool since they're pretty much the same cept their colors D:

So true. I mean, even now I kinda look back on Red and Purple, compare them to Draziel and Izova, and I can see how some characteristics line up, but it's not as many as it truly used to be. I'm very proud of that because that means that both of 'em are on their way to becoming completely independent characters. And I hate it when people do that. They basically do that with Zim, and it makes me angry. I LIKE PERSONALITY VARIATIONS. DDD8

Indeed, and my friend ~AlphaShampoo-Artemis noticed that Dareh's lower body was way too small for his upper half, making him appear like a midget XD Which, admitedly, makes a really halarious thought since a correct bipedal Lanian would look like that since their hind legs are slightly shorter then their front

Awesome character concept, as usual. 
Ah, male bodies are annoying for me as well. From what I gather, they have a more triangular upper torso shape, but I'm sure you already knew that. I'd define their muscles a bit more (especially on the legs) as well as give them a more prominent jaw. Your anatomy looks pretty good to me.
For some reason, I really like the shading on the first picture, and the nude one. O_O Its simple but conveys shape excellently.
I'd love to see more of these two!

Crits- Um....none really. D: Except that your 3-shine spotted eyes have always, well, anoiyed me. Eye shines should almost always be very tightly packed in one end of the eye. And should usually have one or two straight white (or gradient) spots.

Well, technically they aren't eye shines, they are literal almost imbedded highlights, being a part of their actual eye that enhances their sight. When I do eye shine I usually will make them more transparent and blur them slightly (or give it a gradient style as you mentioned) but in cases like this the shines are part of the eye so therefore making them overly transparent just wouldn't look right. Think of the highlights as being like different pupils. Lanians have somewhat acorea-like eyes, having no iris or direct pupil. The only dignification of their direction upon where they are looking is the "dark spot" in their eyes, which you can see if you look hard enough (Lord Federico in The Selection has this same technique) giving the illusion of a pupil. As the "pupil" moves around, these highlights literally move along with it. Kind of like bubbles when you try to compress air from a bag or film, you push against the bubbles and they move out of the way. It's somewhat of the same effect. Lanians have adapted to these kind of eyes because, being aquatic creatures, it helps enhance their sight when in or out of water (In their world I mean, not in reality. These eyes are mainly used to show difference in species if you know what I mean. a made-up thing). Kind of like how crocodiles have a see-through eyelid. It works the same way.
I'll have to doodle up an animation to show how their eyes work to make it not so confusing :3 But thanks for actually paying attention to this kind of stuff! Makes me feel rather glad to know you pay attention to such small details as that! <3
