Updated reference for my older character Mythumynx, or more commonly called Mynnie! He's progressively been updated over the years, with a few little things changing here and there. I don't draw him too often, but he's one of my favorite little monster critters. I've been very active with his development lately and thought it was fitting to update him!

The biggest edits to him since his creation have been simplifying him down a bit. You can see his original reference here for some giggles! I also made his skin more pinkish/purple since I always visualized him more purple but for some reason he stayed gray? Not sure why. The biggest change came with his tail, which is now a tentacle-like thing; this conveniently came due to redesigning my Swivel race. I haven't posted much of them quite yet, but here's a couple pics for relevance. Swivels are still under reconstruction, but I developed enough of them to tidy Mynnnie here up. Swivel can use their tails as hands, but Mynnie is unable to utilize it.

Thrash, as a species, are also on the list to be tweaked, but here are some visual examples of them for comparison as well.

Swivel Hybridism:
Speaking of Swivel, since it was noted in his Bio I'll explain further. Swivel are a race in the FaléQZ system (the same system as Ambivia) that are somewhat "off the grid" in that their race holds no formal contact with any other races, they do not allow anyone to visit their planet, and hold no treaties with anyone. Swivel are highly feared as a result of the very limited amount of information everyone knows about them. What people do know is they are the most intelligent species and regularly perform social experimentation on people. It is suspected, in fact, that the Swivel knew about the impending Lanian invasion before anyone else, and more than likely they were the ones who provided a deceased Swivel to the Lanians (likely by leaving it someplace for them to find) which eventually lead to Mynnie's creation. Because so little is known about them and there are no formal treaties, Swivel are exempt from all known laws. Therefore, Mynnie cannot be contained or restricted in any way, even with his Thrash half, so he can do pretty much whatever he wants and no one can legally stop him.

He often wanders between the same locations, including Federico's palace as they once, through mutual acquaintances, "met" and Mynnie took a liking to him for whatever reason. They do not communicate, of course, so Mynnie is often just sort of there. He gets fed at least! He'll appear further along in the comic as a significant but very minor character.

Intelligence
Mynnie's smarts are rather complicated. No one really knows how much he can comprehend. He does not appear to understand fully any languages, but appears to grasp basic communications and gestures. In return, he can relate to people the basics, such as implying his desire for food or for someone to open the door for him. He does not exhibit any other emotions and expressions. He is forever stuck in this very pained, sad appearance. What he actually feels or understands are never known.

Gender:
Mynnie is biologically intersex, having remnants of both male and female genitalia (of Thrash, as Swivel have no reproductive organs). They are not fully formed or functional. Neither is more visible than the other, but he was deemed male by those who discovered him and it has stuck.
