Considering I am still hopelessly stuck on TS page 41, I decided this week to have a 3-part update for the new Prologue pages! Next two updates will be Wednesday and Friday. Unless I somehow can't for whatever reason.
Though I designed the page to only tell of the basic creation story, here is a bit more information for those interested:
- In the religion of the galaxy, the people worship a god named Creator. Though there are many planets within the solar systems in the galaxy, there is one cluster of planets in particular that many believe to lie "in Creator's realm" or, other words, in the center of the galaxy. The cluster is made up of one large planet and six smaller planets that orbit around the larger one. Originally only the main world had life, which consisted of hundreds of beast-like land dwelling creatures along with various sea life and birds, of course. Many races and species known in present day (Ambivians as a good example) did not exist.
That's all the info you get for this page. Next update I will tell more. :]
Psst, if you guys followed my Storm-Artists account you would have seen this page 2 days ago. Ha!
Tell me if you have trouble reading the text. I may alter it if many people do. :]
Constructive Criticism, pointing out flaws, and spelling/grammatical help is DEFINITELY helpful!

Sorry for suuuuper late reply, I saved this comment and meant to get back but it got lost in my inbox. 8'U
Actually the origins of Ambivians used to be that they came from the main world and then somehow traveled to the new planet when they learned the technology... but this is now highly inaccurate. They actually originated and evolved on Ambivia itself now.

I suck so incredibly hard for not getting to these sooner. T__T
Love the beautiful new art styling. Very much like an old painting or illustration form a book.
Do I spy a couple of Friths? And which planet would be Ambivia?

Very beautiful first page you have there. I can recognize a few creatures, but I would like to comment on a few things.
It's nice to know that you're trying to go for a fresher look on some similar animals on Earth, but the problem rests on the reptile/mammal with the plates. Biologically, it's impossible.
Plus, the center planet looks a lot like Earth. Was that the intention?
The creator story isn't too bad, although a bit bland. What were your sources for it?

How is it impossible, might I ask? I'm curious. Haha, that is probably my first ever created creature so I'm positive it has a lot of biological flaws. Though it was overall based on a Stegosaurus. (Also note all these creatures are incredibly simplified. In full detail they looks immensely different.)
Sort of. Its make-up is a lot like Earth. It has two large continents and is made up of about 70% water also.
I'm not sure what you mean by "sources".

Wow, it feels like I'm watching Watership Down again...
The picture itself provides a different unique sort of feeling, which is very dexterous mind you.
Though it does feel a little awkward that the CREATOR himself is telling the story ("I").
Either it is not the Creator (which I doubt), He has an interest for Kailani or Federico (highly unlikely), someone is reading some sort of bible (undecided), or just to introduce the religion that you use the story (probable).
Good job on this one!

Haha, oh yes, you were actually right! The text is taken from a bible (called "Holy Texts of Creator"). Page 3 (which ends the creation excerpt) it will state so.
lol it would be funny if Creator was telling Federico and Kailani's story. xD That or totally awesome.
Oh, and of course, thank you!
(P.S. sorry for not replying yet on a couple of your other comments. I've been busy lately but I'm going to reply soon. Just wanted to let you know I didn't ignore them or anything.)

You know I kind of figured it to be that, but subconsiously though.
The Bible dipicts that God is everything, he is and always has been.
That whole "we are God in his image" is all a big load of crap if you ask me.
To me, God is everything: us, buildings, furniture, cars, technology, animals, plants, water, the Earth, stars, everything.
His symbol is not a cross; we gave it that symbol, as you have done with the Creator.
So, seeing the symbol kind of felt like reading a picture-bible.

Your welcome, I've been busy too with school and typing up that story of mine.
I haven't been on here for the last month! XD
By the way, how do you make that small font? And the italicised font?
I have been wondering on how you do that.

AlfaFilly In reply to cookiesGOOD4u [2010-04-20 20:45:26 +0000 UTC]
To italicize use this code: TEXT HERE
And to do the small font use this code: TEXT HERE or TEXT HERE
The difference is this:
hihi
First is sup, second is sub.
And that'll do it

cookiesGOOD4u In reply to AlfaFilly [2010-04-21 02:33:32 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, thanks.
Did you really have to use "hi" as an example?
Just saying...
