no such thing as tower of terror in DLP yet! still building it!
I like this attraction much more for the story, than for the ride itself.
For kicks, the new space mountain (wich is diffrent than the american one!!) is a real treat... But if you want something dark, gloomy, this is the way to go. It has a very sad story, unlike the american disney ones.

At least you guys have series
We either buy ours from america
or make them ourselves (and they're usually rip-offs of american shows)

it sure is
no, seriously, I like living here.
we have both ultramodern cities, and little farmer's villages where time stand still for the last 50 years.
We have full health and unemployment care
We have one of the best scholar systems in the world (belgium kids score twice as much on the same test as american kids - and we are fluid in 3 languages before we get out of high school, and in 4 when we get out of college/uni)
We are in the center of europe, wich gives us great accessibillity and communication with our surrounding countries. It also makes for a big part of our job-offers.
But on the other hand, except for asian countries, we have the highest working pressure in the world, resulting in numerous burn-outs, depressions, and other psychological illnesses. (40h/week, averaged 20 days vacation every year)
Our country is divided by a language border, wich literally divides our whole country in half, and each election we have a miniature war between the flemish and the wallon. We also like to blame each other for whatever goed wrong within our country...
But every place has it's ups and downs. I'm fairly happy to be born and live here

I have to agree with you, how European kids and Aisaian kids are ALOT smarter than american kids. In America, we don't really care about trying on the SAT's or FCAT's (SAT is national, FCAT is only for the state of Florida) What ever we do is what ever we get..... But my parents are from Pakistan... So their pushing me to practice for the SAT (the national test that will get you into college)..... And we can be ignorant sometimes

Ahhh, your parents mean well.
You'll be glad, when you're older, they learned you not to give up, and to work for something important.
It's not that american kids are dumb. It's that they're lazy. Not their fault either, but american society's! It's like their motto is "try to achieve as much as you can, with as little effort as possible". And it's normal for teens to think like that (they think like that all around the world), but the adults should know better and buffer those toughts...

Dude! It's the Paris version of The Haunted Mansion!! Great ride. And I love all of the stories that the "cast members" made up for it. Very cool. Reminds me a bit of the opening image from the old scooby doo show. ^_^

Yes, you are right, it's the Paris version of the haunted mansion...
Actually there is one "big" story, but a lot of details are missing (like, what happened to her fiancee, and where do all the other ghosts come from) and castmembers have filled those holes with their imagination
It really is my favorite attraction tough This year, I dressed up as Melanie Ravenwood (the bride in the attraction) for halloween

heehee. Did you have the beating heart? ^_^ Madam Liota is my fav character....and the hitch-hiking ghosts.

I like madame Liota too Altough I think she is very poorly executed (in the paris version she is at least)
She's made (like lots of characters) of a semi-seetrough head, that has the features projected from the inside. And as you circle around her, and pay close attention, you can see the projection isn't 100% aligned: her face seems to change shapes. One moment, she looks like an anorexic!
I don't know what you mean by the beating heart tough... Maybe we don't have that one in Paris, there are multiple scenes that have changed to get with the story...
My favorite scene is the ballroom scene, with the dancing ghosts.

Ohmygosh! I love that scene. My mom has told me what that room looks like with the room lights on. I want to see it. I guess there's a bunch of mirrors in there.
Personally, that's what I like about Madam L. It's part of the original atraction. ^_^
In the California version (The Haunted Mansion), the Reavenwood girl is in a scene where you go through the atic of the house. She seems to have possessed a wedding dress that had been in a trunk and stands in front of a changing screen that's located right by the exit into the haunted hallway. The only movements that she makes are to turn and watch you exiting the scene and her red, beating heart that shows through her translucent body. It used to be my least favorite scene when I was little. I'd have nightmares about her. ^_^ now it's one of my favorites just because I like to soo all the old effects they used for the ride....although they recently updated it and changes a few things.

Oooo, no, we don't have that in the paris version!
she's supposed to be beautifull, tragic, not scary
Yea, I think the see trough ghosts are mirrored, or maybe even projected. Cause in the pinokio ride, they use the same technique to make the blue faerie, and in one scene, near the end, when you look back, you can look at the scene without the window in between, and there's no faerie to be spotted...

teehee. Mirror tricks are some of the oldest illusions in the book. It's been at least ten years since I've been on the Pinocchio ride. I don't remember it.
