This was my first piece I did of the bunch, so it's probably my least favorite. Throughout the year, I kept going back and fixing little details here and there, but I'm still not entirely satisfied.

if ur scared of shadows, wouldn't it be much more logical to not have lights on? technically there aren't any "shadows" when the lights are off

Was browsing through deviantArt when I came across this series, and I instantly fell in love with them I favorited a few earlier, but now I want to comment on my favorite ones, to show my appreciation. So, here goes.
Even though this one's your least favorite, I actually like it a lot. The shadow has an air of being a physical being that could hurt you, but it still maintains a sense of being not quite there. What got me was the fact that the shadowed mirrored the person's body, like a shadow should, but then twists it into something recognizable, but horrifying.
Although I do wonder what a modern-day boy is doing with an old-time lantern.

You're actually the first to pick up that the shadow is mirroring the guy's pose, so congrats on being a smart cookie!
And I'm not really sure about the lantern. It was probably my lame attempt at trying to create a surreal atmosphere, with the cracked sidewalk and whatnot.

this is your least favourite? I mean, I've seen the idea done a few times, but none as skillfully as this.

I'm just generally unhappy with it for some reason. There's no one thing that stands out as bad, I just don't like it.
